Made this demo for a drawn to life style game

Also made some basic water that reacts to objects blocking it

My level "Peter Griffin goes to Mario World!" has 16 likes so far. This is how you rise to the top, huh?

A demo for a mechanic I made where, when you aren't looking, various elements of the scenary change randomly.
This is super simple but have a more complex version in a small horror experience I'm working on.

could be neat for a horror game

Yeah I have a proper thing using a better version of this (this was made in beta) that I am working on.

Furniture, the views from the windows, lighting etc all change when not looking.

So this is Sekiro but with a loli?

Ye pretty much

What should they add in updates

Animating is driving me crazy. During gameplay my puppet never matches the keyframes I program. For instance my crouch has them down on one knee, and the keyframe looks perfect. But in practice they just squat a little bit like they need to take a shit.

Tools and assets.
The too big updates we know are coming are VR and online multiplayer.
There was an update past few days that added a new asset pack.

Got the game a couple of days ago and I'm just going through the tutorials, sculpting should be next, shit seems hard and it's only asking me to build a bridge so far. Playing offline because no internet.

How often does the Imp drift away for you?
Any beginner tips?

Attached: IMG_20200227_070724.jpg (3840x2160, 324.35K)

If you play a lot of hours it will probably happen once a day or so. Guess it's just a problem with the ps4 gyros losing proper tracking. If you just turn your ds4 off lay it on a flat surface and then turn it back on should be fine.

Beginner tips

Double tap X to select everything in scene/group

In the tools menu, the last option is "Sculpture detail tool" this allows you to lower the detail/raise looseness to save on graphics memory. Unless you want something's looseness to be changed by logic, you should you this rather than the looseness tweak, because that does not save any memory.

Build more complex sculpts, rather than a simple sculpt that you Need 100s of. So build a brick wall all within 1 sculpt, rather than sculpting a brick and cloning it in assembly mode. This will help manage game play thermo, because you're only simulating 1 object, rather than 100s.

Hey user?
Neat.

>once a day
Well shit, will give that a go the next time it bothers me.
Haven't done any basic sculpting yet but I'll keep these in mind, hopefully.

>tfw no pc

Reminds me of Outer Wilds.

Did a Blade Runner rip-off. The gif came out choppy, but this is not the last version anyway.

Today i made a head explode remotely. Having trouble with the respawn and the logic in a general way.

This game is changing my life.

Also tried to have an epic opening shot.

I also played with the re-style tank control and camera placement. Shows all the work that capcom put into their magnum opuses. Masterfully directed.

forgot gif

Okay it looks like the animation starts to play but doesn't finish. Something is cutting it off. I have the input set to down on the dpad, and I have a microchip preventing left/right from working when down is held. So there shouldn't be anything preventing the crouch from working as far as I can tell. I looked up videos and they didn't do any extra steps to get the crouch to stay active while the button was held. The in-game tutorial with the cone was the same way. But for some reason my character wants to stand back up before the animation completes, even if I keep the button held down.

Did you set your animation keyframes to "keep the changes" ? I discovered that yesterday and it changed the way my ragdoll behave ^^

I have the final keyframe set to keep the changes. It doesn't want to stay though.

Push on the button just above the "keep the changes". It smoothes the transition, and sometimes you don't want it if you don't want to fuck up your animation.

What's the point of this game?

Have fun

I'm a retard. The animation timeline was a hair longer than the last keyframe so that's why it kept resetting. Now to figure out how to get it to only trigger when their feet are touching the ground.

twilight shift was great, I liked the dining hall and gallery segments. Felt kind of like the shinning.

have there been any attempts at physically-driven characters, like spider tanks or other machines? How viable is it to make a character without using the puppet interface, which favors bipedal actors?

You need to make this into a jump scare thing.

In the puppet interface there is a value for "touching the ground".

Wire that and the down button press into an and gate and then plug that into the animation.

Someone has made a Spider tank game and it works great. Think it's called "TANKZ" or something.

As you say, if you wanna make something other than a biped you would just make it from scratch. It's not too hard to get something moving, animating a quadruped to look good would probably prove difficult though.

If anyone doesn't have the game but wanna search through stuff people have made to see if they've made a specific thing you like you can check out indreams.me/

Works like a charm. Thanks user. Much simpler than what I was trying to do (not gate plus movemen sensor to detect vertical movement).

No worries.
If you want to make it a toggle rather than holding it down put a signal manipulator between the down press and the and gate, set signal manipulator to custom mapping and then select "Toggle on ON".

whats some game genres that are hugely underrepresented in dreams? I feel like there's no good solid fps games, it's all demos and arena style stuff. We need more dreams that you can really sink your teeth into.

Any good car combat games/Twisted Metal clones?

Basically everything that's not a platformer,Horror walking sim, mini game/party game, puzzle game or Rhythm game is pretty lacking right now.

I think the only genre I have seen 0 for is an RTS.

Attached: IMG_20200223_041700.jpg (1920x1080, 139.1K)

There's one called Driven to death, not sure how close it i's to twisted metal though.

And someones made a few of the twisted metal vehicles.

post ones with titties

There don't seem to be many full games in general. Most things are demos or rough concepts. I did play a pretty neat retro fps that was trending a few days ago but that was also just a demo.
I haven't seen any rhythm games yet, actually. I haven't checked but I assume the game lets you import audio, right? I always wanted a Gust/Atelier rhythm game; maybe I'll make my own.

I'm surprised people haven't hidden explicit models under clothes or something. With the way sculptures and parts can be layered it seems like it would be easy to sneak under the radar unless someone reports it.

Yeah you can just use a mic connected to ps4 or use a 4 pole male to male jack to import stuff from your pc or phone. The best Rhythm game so far is RhythMm, 12 songs and 3 difficulties.

is that using the Move controller(s) or a mouse?

I keep on HEARING that there's a huge underground scene for lewd shit but those teasers never post anything.

They 100% do. I know of 2 people who do it.
Some NSFW artist who made some ghost girl modeled her fully naked but she isn't actually remix able so can't see.
And some gay guy I follow on Twitter because he makes cute girls gave one of his characters a dick before sculpting the pants on.

In that video I am using DS4 gyro aiming but it works perfectly with a move controller for a more accurate feel.
That's probably the bit I was most proud of (that it works well with moves)

>creating a fictional location you've had in your head
>tfw it ends up so much larger in scale in reality

If anyone wants to collab on a pretty easy project, check out "Tower demolition collection".
It is a set of little demolition simulations I made during early access.

If you can think of some new, unique ones and want to be collab send me psn request (Cam_alty).

I will send you the basic template so you don't have to make it from scratch. Obviously you'll be properly added as a collaborator and your levels will be clearly marked as yours in the level select and during the levels.

I have currently made like 20 I think. I am thinking of making 5 more myself, it would be cool if everyone could make 2 or 3, so it can be organised into little sets rather than just jumping from one person to the next.

Sorry for wall of text; just though it my be cool for newer people to get to learn and be a collaborator on a Mm picked level too.
