His main complaint is that the game doesn't reward you with enough power ups when it's a game that's basically four times longer than Super Metroid at this point. Your game isn't going to have the same spacing of power ups as Super Metroid when it's so much longer. He also complains about the game giving you too much freedom, which is a god damn joke. He also missed the NPC that straight tells you to visit the city and upgrade your sword if you turn away from the Mantis fight, and anyone that needs the shadow dash to beat the Watcher Knights is kind of shit.

Guy's kind of a tard, it's easily the most flawed one up there. The combat in it straight up not enjoyable, which is why the bosses are designed the way they're designed. A lot of the "not like Metroid" power ups are pretty damn similar once they get fleshed out. The probe launcher thing is neat, but you eventually get an option that lets you teleport to the orb, making it basically a morph ball. He also has a weird amount of trouble with the controls in Ori and that game played completely fine. It had good platforming but minimal exploration and mediocre combat, and this is the first time I've ever heard anyone complain about the controls. ESA does deserve more praise though.

That's also a pretty good point, like halfway through every Metroid game the missile packs feel like a total waste of time to even pick up. This moron praising a game for tossing endless, pointless upgrades at you is kind of depressing.

It's something similar with Guacamelee 2. Felt like there wasn't an incentive to explore and backtrack when you already know beforehand what's the reward. Barely felt like a metroidvania, still fun though.
