It only happened because ATI was desperate at the time (and it didn't help them, since they ended up being bought out by AMD the year afterwards anyways). AMD would be stupid to produce super high-end stuff for consoles because all it will do is destroy their PC GPU market since they don't really have anything to offer compared to Nvidia outside of price-performance. I wouldn't be surprised if they do this though, because AMD's GPU side is exceptionally stupid and would gladly cannibalize their PC sales to try to appeal to console gamers.

Game pass is only good because they're losing a shit ton of money on it to get users. If you think the $1 for 1 month trial or $10 a month otherwise and getting a ton of brand new AAA games is here to stay for more than the next year or two to try and prop up the SeXbox launch you are insane. PS+ giving out games works because they give out old shit that isn't selling anymore and super cheap to license, or things that are about to have a sequel drop as a form of marketing to help the sequel. Offering new games for $9.99 instead of buying them at full price of $59.99 is cutting in to their profits. It takes 6 months worth of game pass to reach that price you're missing out on, and if game pass makes a customer that in the past would buy 2 full price games a year now buy neither you're not really anywhere ahead.

user, all we have for the RDNA2 lineup is 5 GPUs, and the only ones that are more powerful than the one in the SeX are high end and top-of-the-line GPUs (5900, 5900 XT, and 5950). All of which are pretty much guaranteed to be upwards of $500. As previously stated, AMD's big benefit over Nvidia was price, and they no longer have that, so they're going to get utterly demolished.
