The story is something about depression, but you can just skip that shit if you don't care for it

I really liked it. Good difficulty curve and excellent level design. Level 3 is fucking shit but don't let that dissuade you, it's just a one-off (coincidentally by far the most story heavy level)

It's just Meat Boy but instead of being edgy and gross it's pozzed and all tumblr-like.

to be fair, the game is pretty generous with "precision".
Spike hitboxes are smaller than the sprites and if you slightly bump into a corner during a dash, the game lets you slide past it.
A lot of jumping puzzles have multiple solutions, even if the harder levels get more linear there are often multiple options for some sections.

I like how the game never tells you that you can do all the advanced mechanics from the beginning, it just drops a short lesson once in a great while and you go "oh fuck, I could do that?" and it's a small 'eureka' moment that makes the game more fun
It's like the Old Site's crystal heart, to get it you have to realize that your dash is refreshed on screen change regardless of Madeline's position, so once you realize how this works you can literally climb in the air to reach the heart.

Yes. It's fun to play and satisfying to beat the harder stages. (although the C sides can go full retard). Don't let people tell you the game is shit for something most people won't even pick up on when playing the game and has zero impact on your enjoyment of the game.

Decent platformer with a pretty trash story. Play if you like platformers. It was so highly praised by reviewers because of the ability to change the difficulty to make it retardedly easy and the story. This board tends towards disliking it for the same reason. That aspect of the game is usually pretty vanilla but there can sometimes be powerups that aren't from the base game and shit like that. At any rate there's an enormous library to choose from and applying he hacks is totally idiot proof if you can read three sentences. You just need a basic rom of SMW to start.
