FFX has remnants from a dropped romance system back when the father/son dynamic was the sole motivator for Tidus's character arc. Originally Yuna, Lulu and Rikku were all going to be romanceable and the romance point system is still in the game which leads to different scenes in some areas depending on what order/how frequently you interact with those characters, including the now infamous 'I'll add you to my list' flirting with Lulu.
