Never thought to recruit him. I'd think that'd be pretty hard with the level difference though.

Apparently if you attack monsters with love element weapons you have a higher chance of recruiting them. Just bring a bunch of grass and savescum,

I've also read that monsters are easier to tame at low HP, but I'm not sure if that's true either. To have the best chance stroke them with your brush a few times too.

You can expand the main farm four times, each expansion adding a new field. Each field is 6x12, so 5 fields will grant you a total of 360 plots. That's not including the seasonal fields, though.

are there special rewards for playing hell mode?

I think exp rates are higher to compensate for higher monster stats, but otherwise nothing.

upgrade the highest tier fist you can make with attack boosting items, ambrosia's thorns are great once your crafting level is high enough to use them.

You can get Silver in not too long, the next boss gets destroyed by the fireball spell. Try to recruit a wolf in the upcoming area, they are pretty good.

I also recommend the Killer Ant and of course the boss monsters

Remember to forge your joy Waterpot with Light Ore and sacred pole for 4th tier charge that consume little RP/water
You can do the same with Hoe too

Once you hit Autumn Road you can get Dragon Bones through the extra boss
In a room full of fire spirits in Delirium Lava Ruins you can get 2 gold for clearing the room out, which will allow you to forge a Rainbow waterpot
Forge a staff with high magic
Upgrade with whatever you want but the last two upgrades need to be Dragon Bone, then Rainbow Waterpot in that order
This gives you a defense ignoring Light Nuke with close to 0 charge time

Also good for clearing far away enemies

So when you get the materials you don't have to grind to use them, and having access to recipes takes some of the pain away

Iirc random NPCs will give you random small tips that aren't mentioned anywhere else

you only need a lvl 10 iron ore and lvl 50 smithing to make a 500/500 weapon, and since upgrading give static exp you spam scrap iron on shitty items

ok so im on hell mode and loving it, but its time to upgrade my gear, if i make a vest but use bronze will that increase its base def value? i dont wana make OP stuff from the start and breeze through.

once you get you forging/crafting to at least 50 your crafted gear gets bonus stats the more total levels the material used have.

you make a broadsword with the lvl 10 ore and fill the empty slots while crafting with shitty lvl 10 broadswords you used to grind smithing

then upgrade the newly created longsword with lvl 10 shit ones to max and there you go, a 500 atk/matk weapon that shits on everything until the story is over or at least till near the end
