For me it's:
>HoMM 3 & 5
>Civ 4
>King's Bounty: The Legend
What about you, bros?

Dominions 5 is kino
I love silent storm.
>Not Homm 4
lmao fuckig retard never post on 4channel again
I like HoMM 5
though I wanted to try out 6 but because of uplay
I liked the music, and that's the only thing good I'll say about it.
how the fuck do I play this windowed god damn
I'm on windows 10 so apparently can't change desktop color to 16bit
Dodged a bullet there
endless legend
for me:
>Master of Magic
>Civilization II
>Age of Wonders 2
>Warlords 3 Darklords Rising
>Heroes of Might and Magic 3
>Heroes of Might and Magic 2
>Civilization V
>Warlords 2 Deluxe
Currently playing som civ6 vanilla, but just multiplayer with friends. Having some fun with it, but it severely annoys me.
Might get some AI mods and looking into modding the units myself.
>cyclopsattack
Endless Legend is pretty damn good out of newer games.
I also have a soft spot for Fallen Enchantress: LH, but I realize it's a bit of a broken mess.
get HD mod by baratorch
even if you don't change resolution it will use a newer renderer with better compatibility
Thanks.
>prefer the map design of HoMM 2
>prefer the gameplay and town/creature/hero selection of HoMM 3
Fuck
>civilization 4
>civilization 3
>HoMM3
My kinsmen.
homm3 succession war sounds like the homm3 mod for you
it sucks and isn't even finished
Based Homm 4 bro
Everything looks smooth. Is that the Ubisoft "remaster"?
I do see a big difference in how grainy the terrain looks now that you pointed it out, but I just googled the pic desu.
Alpha Centauri
AoW2
Civ 2
>game lets you choose between turn based and real time
HD mod is basically obligatory. Now if only I could back the cool animated angel menu it would be perfect, because let's face it, complete is the absolute best version, but the menu art sucks ass.
>HOMM 5 over 4
come on son
what, you don't like the obvious bulge?
Based
Currently playing AoWP.
It's good, but I prefer the classic AoW setting
I need to try it at some point.
The lack of accuracy in aow3 severely limited the lower and upper boundaries of how powerful units could be, and gave a weird benefit to units that had multi elemental attacks.
Planetfall added accuracy back in so it has more potential there.
>you don't like the obvious bulge?
Not into BDSM or gimp outfits either. Look even the "start scenario" menu is better. And yes I know, HD version, it's the best image I got and Solmyr is cool, especially compared to that deviant art dragon.
I still play this.
Sounds pretty fun. Sadly, I hate real time games. (Or at least ones with real time combat.)
You're definitely right there, the genie is way cooler looking.
I don't like the lack of unit variety in civ6, or how even they are with a few lines that go from ancient era to modern era.
Gonna merge and remove a bunch of upgrade paths, and add specific requirements for training more troops.
Right now you can't produce planes without an aerodrome, I'll add stuff like that or even cheap projects to unlock more units. No cavalry upgrading into tanks, and tanks will require a Tank Factory structure to set them apart.
During the late renaissance I want 4 different types of cavalry units, but not certain how I want to stat them.
Dragoon, Hussar, Cuirsasser, Uhlan.
I was thinking something like this:
Dragoon will cost more production than the contemporary infantry unit and require horses, but have more movement.
Strength is not literal, would probably be higher, but something like that in relation to eachother.
The Galactic Civilisation series is god-tier. That fucking combat and ship customization will be never be topped.
fuck dude they used a fucking smudge tool on the dragon or whaT?
I've only played the second. Is the third good?
So do I. Mostly for nostalgia. Me and friend used to play it on his computer when we were growing up.
Look above the dragon's head and feast your eyes on that blur on the wings. Baby's first photoshop.
For
Its on equal level with the 2nd only if you have all the DLCs and xpax. The game got shit on hard when it was first released but dlcs fixed everything that I hated about the game.
For me its lords of magic
Same still play it. Mass macemen ftw. Mass crossbow's for the hilarity.
>not playing horn of the abyss
dude resistance lmao
absolutely based and redpilled
how do you make this game work with windows 7, I keep getting the wrong colors after instants of playing
I played the original Heroes 3 hotseat with my brother and a friend all the time. I came back to it a couple of years back now again when my English skills improved to get a grip on what to actually do. Fuck, way back then I didn't even know about the grail or how OP necromancy and diplomacy can be.
I might try out HoTA sometime.
Also learn to crop your image.
I just started playing HoMM3 for the first time and finished the tutorial. There's no racial mixing affecting morale bullshit in this game like on Age of Wonders, is there? I remember if you were an Elf, for example, and conquered one of the evil cities there was a chance the populace would riot if you didn't have a strong enough military present in the garrison.
replace enthusiasm with autism and it's correct
You get -1 morale in combat if you have troops from three different towns
There is, you get penalties for mixing creatures from different alignments, but it can be countered with morale artifacts or skills
FUCK
oh you managed to install it at least?
Last I played it a year ago I think I was on windows7.
I couldn't install it since it can't be installed on 64bit system, so I installed it on a virtualos with virtualbox
I don't remember a wrong colors issue.
Set colors and compatability in properties might be enough.
Or just play in the virtualOS, it's what I did last time since then the window could be active while I was doing other stuff.
For me it's Disciples II
Any upcoming turnbased games that look interesting?
map objects that increase morale until after the next battle are also common near towns.
"Spirit of Opression" artifact, it negates all morale for both you and your enemy if you don't plan on having any in the first place.
>Age of Wonders, is there? I remember if you were an Elf, for example, and conquered one of the evil cities there was a chance the populace would riot if you didn't have a strong enough military present in the garrison.
There's nothing like that.
Just morale checks in the combat screen.
A mixed empire doesn't harm you.
A mixed army could harm you.
Morale goes from -3 to +3.
>If all creatures fighting in hero's army are from the same town type, their morale is increased by +1.
>If creatures fighting in hero's army are from three different town types, their morale is decreased by -1.
>If creatures fighting in hero's army are from four different town types, their morale is decreased by -2.
>Leadership secondary skill increases morale by +1, +2 or +3.
>Morale of living creatures fighting on hero's army with undead is decreased by -1.
Morale failure means a creature misses an action.
thanks for the info, I knew of the virtualOS thing but somehow I couldn't install windows me correctly on the one I downloaded
Songs of Conquest could be good
Baldur's Gate 3
>king's bounty
Anyone know which games are worth playing? I know the legend and armored princess are good, but I've heard mixed things about most of the others.
