Beta 1.7.3 for nostalgia
Release 1.7.10 for mods

Indev

right now, 1.15.2 because it's the most fleshed out so far

What this guy said.

I bought the game a day before the update that added snow.
Does anyone know what patch that was?

1.2.5 just the for nostalgia

Based
I still have my first FLAOT map that I occasionally come back to look at.

1.5

1.7.10 because of all of the mods
1.2.5 is a close second though because that's when all of my friends were still playing

depends. If it's vanilla I usually like the newest version. Most fleshed out and fun.
1.7.10 for mods

1.15
I can't get behind the idea of playing 1.8 or 1.12 for all the good mods. Just seems like a waste having to rely on mods to make the game good. I hope hytale slaps the fuck out of MC but Im not gonna hold my breath.

Does that FLAOT spammer guy still post here?

>rely on mods
Mods are basically their own thing altogether. Not sure what you mean by it being a "waste".

1.8.9
1.7.10 for mods

Heard he stopped years ago and only copy cats post it now.

Whenever the Adventure Update happened with the mine shafts and shit. Idk when that was.

>Classic for OG memories.

>1.7.2 for more memories because it was when I personally made the jump from Classic to the main game because for a long time I wanted nothing to do with survival.

>1.7.10 for mods. Would've said 1.6.4 because I felt they were at their least ridiculous just after I started playing shortly after also jumping to 1.7.2 vanilla but my favorites were 1.7.10 and all of the 1.6.4 ones I liked still existed so whatever. A couple weren't updated past that though.

As a whole I prefer vanilla over everything else though. I prefer to play games as intended. Games that need mods need to be made better themselves. If you need mods to play then it's not worth playing.

As we go we keep getting more and more of what I liked in some of the mods though so I'm content to wait and hope they eventually get all of the few reasonable ones I want. We've gotten several I never would've thought we would in comparison so thus far I think my hope is reasonable for the more reasonable ones.

Welcome to Yas Forums in 2020.

which ever all info was client side so i could fuck with autistic children with TNT and obsidian in their perfect worlds.

basically this. hasn't been anything noteworthy added since 1.7.10 and the only reason to even go past beta 1.7.3 is better mods that are easier to install
/thread

>playing vanilla in current year
Performance-wise it's gotten worse every single release since launch (1.0). Feature-wise nothing meaningful has been added since Notch left (1.7) other than command blocks being reworked and made 10% less cancerous in 1.13

FPBP

1.15.2

Release 1.5.2, of course

Beta 1.2_02

Whatever the free browser version was
Playing zombie and lava maps were probably some of the most fun I've had with Minecraft

The 1.16 snapshots.

Beta 1.7.3 for nostalgia and the best mod experiences.
1.12.2 for a nice balance between mods, stability and being close to the current game.

Why does 1.7.10 has all the mods?

Because there was a big gap between 1.7.10 and 1.8's release, so a bunch of mods were made for it as the latest version and even after updates came out people continued modding 1.7.10 because updating mods is a bitch and most people play modpacks and want their mods to be on the same version. A similar thing happened with 1.12 later.

How do I mod beta 1.7.3 with the current launcher?

>Not a single response for Alpha 1.1.2

get fucked alphacuck

Alpha looked and played like shit, it's only in Beta that it really felt like a complete game

the one you could play on the minecraft page

1.7

Beta 1.7 simply because the terrain generation went to shit after that point.

whatever version I was having a blast on which I assume is 1.7.1
build some good ass shit with some good ass mods. playing any version with the addition of useless clutter like diorite and whatever the fuck actually messes with good texture packs because they have to texture that pointless shit too.

I liked Minecraft the best around the time the Nether was introduced. Nothing to do with the Nether, it just had the most features with the least bloat.

Modern M*craft if a nightmare of stupid shit like people flying around with wings, enchanted armor, flying enemies like the Morrowind Cliff Racers, stupid underwater structures with bosses that cast debuffs on you preventing you from destroying anything that can be cheesed by putting doors underwater which allow you to breathe, stupid raids, immortality dolls etc.
Modern minecraft just isn't any fun to play online, and if you are not playing online it's not fun at all.

beta 1.3 feels like the last classic minecraft version
the peak of minecraft was beta 1.7
i dont usually play anything after 1.4
i cant stand the game after 1.7, and thats where i stopped even casually paying attention. i have no idea what is modded in and what isnt when i look at modern minecraft.

Might be cringe but try an anarchy server.

Dragon quest builders 2

So which is better? 1.7.10 or 1.12 for mods? I started with 1.12 a little late and cant wrap my head around why i should play 1.7.10.

1.7.10 mods
1.6.4 obscure mods
1.12.2 building

any other answer shall be disregarded as cancer and purged on sight by m00t

1.7.10 has more mods stuck at that version

yep fpbp. For nostalgia I like 1.8 beta too. But yeah 1.7.10 is the definitive version and anyone who says otherwise is objectively wrong

Beta 1.7.3 for the smoothest experience at the time and the classic ether.
Alpha 1.1.2 and 1.2.0 for nostalgia.
Release 1.7.10 for mods that didn't make it.
1.14 for the most polish now. I hope the mods make it to 1.16 soon enough.

Though porting resource packs that made use of metadata in connected textures is a pain.

Huh?

>1.14
>polish
bwahahahahahahahhahahahahahaha

Did they not fucking fix a substantial amount of issues the game has had since Beta 1.8 and Release 1.3? What about the lighting optimization?

1.14 is much less stable than versions like 1.12
in fact, 1.14 is so bad that many servers simply did not update to it and are only considering to update now with 1.16, where most of the glaring issues of 1.13 and 1.14 are fixed

Whatever version my friends are playing so I can join them.

FPBP

1.8.4 probably.

Alpha 1.1.0, the textures looked really harsh and ugly, and it was the version I started on.

Beta 1.8

Attached: 1582561848341.png (500x500, 74.3K)

who are you quoting?

Attached: 1583334944311.jpg (424x434, 46.53K)

Minecraft RTX

Probably 1.2.5
>all the mods that were supported
>1.3.2 is when tekkit went into overdrive and became a buggy mess
>solid base game

>early alpha for nostalgia
>halloween update for SOUL
>1.7.10 for mods
