I like the new j236[A] a lot, but since everyone else got buffed up too not a lot has really changed matchup-wise, the rough ones are still rough.

I think yuzu and elt got a lot better actually. Vatista def got worse but thats simply because she got buffed to hell and back. Haven't played much carmine or any hilda yet though.

I also like j214c a lot but I wish the a and b version were faster

Are there any characters other than Yuzu considered to be "stick only"? I know she's not impossible with pad, but stick is certainly a lot easier for her.

I started doing more FF to end my blockstrings with longer ranged moves to save the trouble of risking a 6B-read and to keep constant pressure so I can 623x afterwards
I also learned that 214A can combo raw now without any height adjustments to worry about so I was throwing that out a bit more, as well as partial charging it because you can EX cancel that at weird timings. I had mostly intended to try and 214[x] and EX cancel into a grab before the bomb landed. It doesn't even cost HP so why the hell not
Also I realize that Carmine hardly uses meter at all outside of 22C so more uses of 236C to make stray hits not only do more but connect easier is probably a decent habit to get into while we're fishing for extended BnBs we could hardly get right
We weren't jumping around enough but if 4B counter hits someone, the untech time they have falling down is significant enough to run up and 2C them as they land but from fullscreen, you can either 623x or FF > ex cancel into some whacky shit since the puddle for it drops immediately behind them

vat is pretty doable on pad if you just learn to play with your bumber buttons. I haven't put much time into vat but the holds are that bad physically, it just the timing that you need to get used too.
