This is the worst part to me. Old Final Fantasy games had pretty lackluster UI because of the limitations of the hardware but they became iconic over time, so changing it to be this minimalist tiny text shiny blue shit is so boring. They at least kept part of the weird number background during the reactor explosion though, so they're not completely ignoring all the soul the original UI had.

It's always bothered me how you have these anime ass looking characters walking around and then in the back you see some average Joe looking characters wearing normal clothes. I didn't play 15 but from what I've seen, it happens in that game too

I am much more excited to play FF7 with the 2.0 tactical mod coming out.

after playing the demo the music was actually my only major problem with it. not to say the music is bad, it's really good, but the classical style should be toned down more in favor of scifi sounding style, especially in the the mako reactor. the electronic melody of the original in the mako reactor gave it good atmosphere.
