It was a good game, but not a good Fallout game.

It was a good game. Outerworlds made me appreciate it more desu.

It has a really good modding scene. I'd say even better than Skyrim's.

This, Fallout Miami and London are looking good. I can't complain.

I'm just waiting for Fallout 4 New Vegas to be finished in ten years so I can finally enjoy the Mojave with shadows

That's still going? Damn

Bethesda Game Studios make fun games its just that they are awful at writting and are generally lazy asf. Skyrim has a great atmosphere, and so does Fallout 3, but after I played the FO1,2 and NV I can't fucking turn off my brain and enjoy their Fallout titles anymore, which is a shame because 3 was my first fallout and i fucking loved it back then

Honestly I didn't start to see it's flaws until like 50 hours in.

Best fallout gameplay wise

Worst fallout RPG/writing wise

Yeah they seem to have a steady stream of assets being modeled and textured. It's nice to see that it's actively being developed

>main "antagonist" in DLC questions you if you are a replicant or not, seemingly starting what could be the start of a series of DLCs with an overarching story just like New Vegas
>it's never brought up again and the only other large DLC is released and only fits one specific playstyle or else you lose out on 99% of its' content
bravo Todd you boomed me again
he's so fucking good
fuck he's so good
he's so good

>almost half of the map is water
>no underwater content
>the 20000 leagues under the sea quest was cut

it's shit

it's fine for a playthrough. After that the game just feels terrible to play through again and you definitely notice everything wrong with it.

Still, a single decent 50 hour playthrough is worth the price it is now

>the 20000 leagues under the sea quest was cut
Fuck, why did you have to remind me of this? What a disappointment.

It was a decent open world shooter and looting game. The power armor was impressive . I just wish bethesda was better at the rpg elements and plot. It's not that hard to do a decent morally grey story with actual decisions that have some impact and fallout has already very rich established lore, so it feels like they're just trying to sabotage themselves. Its saddening.

>fun
didn't even finish it before i got bored of it

If you paid any attention at all to the main story its obvious you arent a synth. Dima is just a manipulative asshole

just because a game is hot garbage doesn't mean it isn't a fun game

Compared to outer worlds it was a fucking masterpiece

>giving DiMA so much as the time of day
he's a shifty, manipulative asshole, don't trust a word he says.

>and only fits one specific playstyle or else you lose out on 99% of its' content
?

the buildup was great. felt really bad for the wife and really wanted to find the son really bad... then it turns out he is a nofap poltard

agreed mainly because im pirating it for free

The most mediocre game ever made.
Horrible writing, the dialogue is all terse reddit quips and the story was wasted potential because bethesda sucks at worldbuilding and making compelling characters. Also House went to MIT and there isn’t even a fucking reference to him in the game.

i had OBSCENE amounts of fun gathering trash and making cozy homes for people across the wasteland

I never understood why people/normies raved about how amazing Outer Worlds was.
Because it fuckin' wasnt. It was an average game, and by the 6 hour mark, you've already seen all the best weapons in the game. The story is just "Hyper capitalism bad" and there's not a single character name I remember from it.

The removal of skills was a terrible idea. It greatly limited character customisation and the game play.

Every mission was just go to this spot, kill this enemy and or retrieve this thing. The skill system from previous games opened up more ways to complete missions.

I got far too autistic in what was probably the world's worst base builder

Nuka World literally revolves around the idea that everyone who plays it wants to be a Raider, or that role-play wise the Lone Survivor becomes a Raider after the main story, and forces you to ostracize everything and everyone in the main Boston map

if you don't want to be a raider than the DLC literally turns into a "lol kill all playthrough" and you miss out on literally everything

Outer Worlds was just as bland and uninspired as F4.
I don't know what happened to Obsidian after NV, but they clearly suck at making fresh IPs instead of working off existing ones.
Now they are stuck sucking Microsofts cock eternally, we all know how well thats going to end.

Surprisingly solid gameplay. Base building was also goofy fun that I sank too many hours into.

Unfortunately the story is vomit inducing and they shat on all existing lore. It’s a decent game that marks the death of a franchise. Missed potential.

how is melee in this game? i love making grug characters in fallout games

But if it doesn't have good RPG aspects, and it is an RPG , Doesn't that mean the gameplay is bad?

If you remove all RPG it's just an action game

Fallout 4 was objectively bad in every single way and there is not a single person who would ever say otherwise without being a shitposter.

I like how it let me simulate Vietnam with arty and gunship miniguns

best difficulty to play with? challenge but no damage sponge type of thing

go home avellone, outer worlds was shit

well yeah it means nothing now since it was completely dropped after that DLC. if the devs ran with this idea it could have been interesting. you're playing a character, who from the player's perspective--yeah, your earliest memory is only where the game begins. i'm not saying that one of the DLCs would reveal that you are or are not a synth, but each one should have played around with both ideas

Yes, Outer Worlds was also shit. What does that have to do with Fallout?

Also your response was shitposting, so you kind of proved the point.

I like it a lot. I think it blew 3 out of the water, even if it doesn't hold a candle to the 1/2/NV in terms of RPG, storytelling, etc.

what did he see? why is he telling the dog to stop?

I had a great time with it, really fun game. Kinda feel bad for the people who couldn't enjoy it because they were constantly comparing it to NV or whatever.

The entire point of that dialogue was to display how he was a manipulative bitch that took advantage of the insecurities of others, not to make you think you're a Synth.

It's true
I also got completely disgusted by it one day, wondering what the fuck I was doing with my life and never touched the game again

Custom difficulty mod, there's a few that let you change things on the fly.

A level cap mod so the scaling doesn't turn everything into damage sponges.

Kinda broken desu. With timed blocks, you can fight deathclaws and worse with a baseball bat because it mitigates so much damage.

Go for it. But sadly 1 intelligence won't change your dialogue or anything.

>Kill some random guy
>His dad confronts me in the city
>"I know I killed your son but he was kinda of a dick"
>"Yeah, fair enough"
The CHA shit in this game is one of the worst things ever

Ontop of that they expect you to raid the towns you personally built...

So not only does the game only have 1.5 real towns, and you have to build the rest your own, you also have to raid them...

play in windowed mode with settings on max

Decent, especially with mods. It becomes a better version of Skyrim

new las vegas had so much soul

>find a dude on top of a dinosaur toy
>he hates legionigers
>find out about that right after reaching the legioniger camp when i meant to join them
>people throwing hands and bullets back and forth
>dont know what to do
>die

new vegas on 4 engine when?

Charisma is stupidly broken in all of the post-2 Fallout games.

i never even finished the DLC because of how retarded it was. if I ever do another playthrough I don't even know where to place Nuka World so it doesn't fuck up everything in Boston

I think the best I heard was to play throught it right before becoming general of the Minutemen, that way you can do everything and anything you want in the DLC, Preston acknowledges this, but forgives you, and you still become general and can play through the main game like normal

huh?

i dont think the game is fantastic but few games allow me to explore a dark depressing world with a dogbro i am legend style

>remove a mod
>save breaks completely
>even putting the mod back doesn't fix it
How is it, after a good 500 hours of swapping mods around, my game decides to break five hours into a new save?

It was a good game. I am a retard.

Did you reload at the point the save had the mod in it?
If not, it will probably break, mods are kind of baked into the saves to an extent, not good practice to uninstall, especially big mods.

I've tried reloading all kinds of saves, the problem is that I have one save from forty minutes in and one save from four hours in, somehow all the autosaves the game had been doing up to that point didn't count, and none of them work.
Making a new file works fine so I'm just gonna have to start over and soak the five hour loss, I hadn't really done a lot anyway.

>side with the Institute
>work with Railroad and use them to destroy Brotherhood of Steel
>when eliminate them all
Honestly, playing triple agent was fun.

>implying it's ever coming out
>what is skywind
>what is skyblivion
come on now

>huh?
new vegas runs like shit in full screen. i have max shadows and graphic settings on max on a newer pc and new vegas runs great

the lewd is better than skyrim in alot of ways, its unfortunate people dont post it like skyrim

i'm talking about world shadows. from buildings, hills, etc.

I got more hours out of it than i'd like to admit, but it's painfully average as a game and a Fallout entry.
Not really compared to 3/NV/Skyrim. From what i heard, the new Geck is hard to work with, not to mention the voiced protagonist kind of taints the whole thing.
Then you have Bethesda muddying the waters with the creation club. The modding scene was kinda fucked from the start, i'm still excited for F4NV though.

Average is generous. The game has literally no strong points.

With Mods yes

fallout 4 always looked like pure shit to me for some reason, everything looked washed out I think because of the lighting and the textures always looked low res
