If you use Barrier though then you can use it to instantly refill your shield because it has no cast time unlike the other 2 abilities so it's the best one because it basically doubles your shield if you use it just before your shield breaks

I feel like Wolf would do fine, I mean he's used to space battles already.
Hunter is durable and can use a lot of weapons so they'd do well, kinda like a Krogan.
Darkest Dungeon is weird, though if we equipped Highwayman with modern weapons he'd probably be pretty damn deadly. And if Occultist can bullshit the Reapers like he does bosses in game he can just weakening curse them to death.

I think in space it's a 50/50. Shield leeching and mac cannons are cool but reaper's have been shown to shake off similar. Aggressor destroyers can probably take a reaper out in a few hits but they themselves are fragile.

Ground war is heavily favored to the UEF commander bc of how rapidly he/she can build fortifications and amass an army, perfect for an attrition war against reapers and husks.

Raiden can be used in infiltration/high risk situations, as he is arguably the strongest character on his own and capable of fighting enemies a retarded amount larger/stronger than him.

At best Oni takes a few husks out before getting gunned down, at worst he starts killing our side. Acrid would be pretty useful against hordes of ground combatants, but his attacks have no discrimination against infecting allies as well. A RDM WoL has a lot of options defensively and offensively, and might actually be immune to indoctrination thanks to the Echo. I'd say by themselves they could take out maybe one reaper, but they definitely die in the explosion.
