OH NO NO NO NO NO
Grayson Clark
Adrian Kelly
Fix your fucking management SE this is ridiculous.
Kayden Murphy
OMEGALUL
Leo Davis
The story already exists though. It's about an brain-damaged terrorist fighting an edgy emo who fell into chemicals
Joshua Parker
The Fabula Nova Crystallis project really fucked this company up
Andrew Ross
That was the question I asked in the last thread. How long did it take them to do a single part and how many parts will they need to do? My impression is that the guys will need 30 years to make the entire remake...
And how many hours of gameplay will each part have?
Christian Edwards
>nintendo wasted the OoT remake on 3DS
they could've been rolling in the dosh
Luke Morgan
Who's to say they won't make another remake?
Jonathan Long
what he meant is that after 10 years he would work on the remake of the remake again, not that the current remake is gonna take 20 or 30 years to complete
Jason Stewart
Batman?
Aiden Ross
Square Enix is trash now. what happened?
John Robinson
the merger between square and enix made them too big for their britches
Jacob Hall
I feel like with Square it's always one step forward two steps back
>make amazing FFVII and FFIX
>make shit cgi movie
>Make FFX and FFXII
>make the awful XIII trilogy and XV
I just can't wait to see how they're gonna blow all the goodwill from the VII remake which genuinely does look amazing so far
Justin Gonzalez
>All these faggots replying to a meme thread
What went wrong with you faggots and why is it a good thing now that the dust has settled
Ayden Johnson
Squeenix shills will defend this.
Brody Davis
The whole idea is to have you be blown away by the product they're shipping later this month so that they gain a massive install base who they then plan to milk with season passes and micro DLC for the next ten years. It's not called "part 1" because it's technically the whole thing. The rest is just coming digitally. They're probably going to be releasing "story so far" versions every two years though.
They already tried to do this EXACT thing with FFXV. They've tried turning their every franchise into some kind of a service model.
Julian Wright
>a store that's already completed
>man will work on it the rest of his career
nani?
Aaron Cook
>Yas Forums spergs out over a sourceless article title with no context
shocking
Jack Jones
Is the FF XV really that bad, when you are only in the technical aspects (battle, challenge, etc.)?
Honestly, I think this is better than launching 5 different games and calling it a remake.
Ryan Clark
What a shitty taste, user.
Daniel Collins
>multiple parts
LMAO
Xavier Brooks
You know I always thought Atlus suffered the most from HD development being a relatively small team, and yet Square takes a fucking decade to produce their aaa games from scratch.
Landon Martinez
What a fucking madman. I wish I could get SE to pay me a salary for 10 years while I show up and work on one project.
Nathaniel Carter
Didn't we all already play this fucking game?
Why the fuck would I pay multiple installments of 60 dollars for this shit?
Michael Roberts
Lmao zoomers going to be in their 30s before this shit wraps up
Gabriel Stewart
>tfw when I will be in my 50s
Brandon Rodriguez
Keep in mind he has a team doing most of the actual work. Litterally being paid to sit on his ass. Truly living the life.
Eli Myers
That's all that Nintendo does with most their franchises.
Luis Wright
S-E is one of the worst gaming companies in business. They are DmC era Capcom level of bad.
Matthew Ortiz
There's only two things that are going to happen with this.
>Why the hell did this need to be broken up into multiple parts, stupid ass Square Enix?!
or
>OH, I see why you broke this up into multiple parts, there's so much here, it's so detailed, amazing, actual keno!
Only time will tell.
Angel Carter
SE realized they couldn't fix their bad habit of decade-long money sinking dev cycles after FF 13, 14, and 15 so they just decided to commit to it for a too-big-to-fail IP (FF7) and break it up into chunks that they can sell for the foreseeable future. Full price for each entry and the first one already has DLC available.
Camden Ramirez
this is like the Evangelion films again. Bet the last "installment" of FFVII will be nothing like the original game, and come out in 2035
Dominic Hughes
I know he's probably rollin', but that sounds like a cry for help
Luis Lee
It's about a small village boy who goes to the city, meets his hero, finds out his hero is a muderous cunt, and unlocks 'tard strength after being impaled, henceforth being the manliest character on the planet.
Mason Russell
Probably didnt want to pull another ffxv and fuck everything up
Logan Allen
someone post the abby shapiro penis size reaction version
Ryan Martin
Seriously. Imagine if Nintendo announced the Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition would be released in episodes over the next four decades.
Even SquareEnix can manage to produce whole games on a reasonable budget and timeframe with Dragon Quest 11, what the fuck is so broken with the Final Fantasy team?
Its a very anime inspired story, give it cost-effective visuals that match and the gameplay that made FF7 an easily accessible classic.
Elijah Watson
One game each for the next several PlayStation generations. You rike?
Hunter Hughes
This piece of shit company has been taking almost 10 years to produce a single flagship game ever since FFXIII and the amazing part is the games still fucking suck.
Don't expect me to stick around for 30 years, you dipshit riceniggers
Jaxson Hughes
Man, Evangelion 3 was one of the worst movies I've ever seen...
Mason Jenkins
Honestly if they're all good, I would be ok with that. I'd never have to worry about not having a game to look forward to every year or so.
But if they suck then SE can eat my ass, no thanks.
Matthew Cooper
>s the FF XV really that bad, when you are only in the technical aspects (battle, challenge, etc.)?
It's a clusterfuck. The fact that they had to cancel the story dlcs for the game and the game's direction quitting and have it all happening in the game's 2nd anniversary stream should tell you enough.
Oliver Martin
Isn't that the plot of Tim Burton's Batman?
Levi Miller
Can't wait to play the complete version when im 56
Isaac Ortiz
Squar Enix, not even Enix, makes Dragon Quest. They merely publish the games.
Juan Cooper
I'm going to be legitimately extremely pissed if I die before this thing finishes. My last thought as I cross a street and some dipshit isn't paying attention to the road is going to be to curse Kitase and Nomura.
Jaxon Carter
That same stream came on the heels of an announcement operating loss of nearly 4 billion yen in a six-month accounting period and the exit of the man responsible for directing XV when Nomura was pulled away for VII Remake and Kingdom Hearts III. "Clusterfuck" is too lenient a word. This was a fiery plane crash.
Charles Lee
Remake apologists will defend this blatant milking. Probably citing that it's okay because you can walk around Midgar now and other brainlet takes.
Ian Cook
>Square undoubtedly makes billions a year off of merchandise and their partnerships with Nintendo, Disney, and their mobile phone divisions
>still opt to nickel and dime customers at every single turn, without exception
It's almost disgusting.
Wyatt Hall
Square's hierarchy really is fucked beyond all realms of belief
Justin Gomez
>Kitase bound to 7 until his life expires
>Nomura expected to be in charge of 50 different things at once
>Yoshi-P the only one making money and has all the money drained away from him so he has to make XIV with his lunch money
Is there anyone in Square's management that is fucked
Elijah Ramirez
what
Owen Taylor
>Seriously. Imagine if Nintendo announced the Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition would be released in episodes over the next four decades.
Yas Forums would immediately flip-flop and start defending the episodic model because it involves three of their sacred cows: nintendo, monolith, and xenoblade.
Sebastian Anderson
Cid is the manliest character, though.
Eli Ross
Yoshi's fine with that though, he doesn't like taking risks anyway. What will giving him more money do, more grinding dungeons every new patch? XIV works because a skeleton crew can handle the by the numbers content drip, you can do that on a shoestring budget.
Jaxson Perez
I dont know if it's just nickle and diming and not Square being horribly managed. They already outsourced the remake to CyberConnect2 before probably eventually scrapping their work for some unknown reason, they were probably losing money and just came up with the episodic model at the last minute to save their asses.
Gabriel Thompson
>Also explained the need to split the Final Fantasy VII Remake into multiple parts
>Multiple parts
>Could be more than 3
More money? Fuck them i prefer to keep my memories for a great game that was complete and i enjoyed as a kid.
Jose Butler
Not a remake.
Connor Perry
I can't imagine how they'll make more than 3, how much extra content do they intend to add? No matter how good the games are, there will be diminishing returns on sales the longer this shit goes. Rule of threes exists for a reason.
Michael Lee
What's the problem? We knew it'll take a decade or two with the parts being released around every four years or so?
John Hughes
cant wait for a refund pretending not knowing it was not a full game and start a trend that will catch up and sink SE completely and Remake will forever be unfinished
Nolan Morgan
If they keep the pace, quality and content size of the first part, it'll end up at seven parts in total. Even now the minimum they can squeeze it into is four parts, since they wasted the first one on just Midgar.
Nicholas Mitchell
Fortnite hype died out, BotW will get a sequel, Crash came back from the dead ran out of games to remake and died again, and this shit remake is still in development.
this is how FF dies, it will never recover from this. Hope you guys had fun.
Dominic Richardson
LMAOOOOOOOOOO
Zachary Campbell
Nomura was the one behind that
John Thompson
>what the fuck is so broken with the Final Fantasy team?
You'll get your answer just by looking at the directors. The biggest hack in Square.
Jose Jackson
FF died almost 20 years ago
Leo Ramirez
i wish, from my perspective it was on life support.
