>Whiney dev whines on whine box.
Don't buy their games.

If they have enough time to cry on twitter, they have enough time to fix it, and judging from how many posts they made, that could have been lines of code.

If you are so dead set on throwing your money away go buy some fucking stock and see about turning $60 into $100 in about a week or two.

Nobody cares what this tranny has to say.

What does that have to do with their horrible mess of a story?

>not to mention adjusting to external partners/stakeholders requirements
Well maybe you just shouldn't have signed stupid fucking agreements that allow such people input. There's a reason my company is truly indie. They have had offers to be bought out time and again but refuse to be controlled. They want us to make good games, not shitty corporate ones even if that means not having money out the ass.

Either way it's not our concern as players if you're making shit games.

In b4 seething Halodrones get the thread nuked again

Frank is a community manager, not a dev

its not frank

>Dev who ports a shitty port of an even shittier port of an old game cried when people are pissed

343 proving yet again that they are complete and utter trash developers

Theres a reason postums wife left him and took the kids.

I look forward to then losing their jobs when Halo Infinite bombs just like 5 did.

>mother fraking

I generally agree that gamers are stupid and are usually more angry and irrational than capable of providing useful criticism on actual problems.

Not to defend 343 but he's right. Even here on Yas Forums where people are generally more knowledgeable you constantly see
>why didn't they add a toggle for X? it would've taken a day at most!
Sure, it would've taken a day in the shitty coding projects you've done as college homework. In actual professional software production absolutely nothing takes a day because it means lots of integrating and testing. Plus you're on a schedule and a budget so every single thing is a trade off. You can't add a single feature without losing another feature in return.

You see you say stuff like this but then don't realize these "people" have taken the older games and needlessly added to them with no input from the people who buy the games. Then when the people who buy the games tell them that they should unfuck the game they get preachy.

>"hey maybe you should fix the aiming or performance that you massively broke in the port"
>GRRRRRRRRRR WHY DON'T YOU JUST LIKE MOTHER FRAKING DO MY JOB FOR ME THEN YOU IGNORANT LITTLE SHIT???
Unironically the only way to save Halo is for someone to shoot up the 343i offices

Attached: 343 postal.png (788x443, 145.1K)

he deleted the tweet lol

And there's another side of gamers that overpraise and overrate games for stupids reasons, like outer worlds "muh how it's done bethesda!" , or the withcer 3 with the "FREE DLC AND NO SERVICE BULLSHIT"

having a production schedule doesn't mean you have an EFFICIENT production schedule
or motivated employees
or all sorts of other modifiers
there's a shred of a point to be had in his whining but his braying really buried it

Sounds like he's making excuses for the shit management, scheduling, designers and PMs that plague the game industry, particularly at bigger studios and publishers.

This is the kind of asshat that would defend no P2 rematch or button check features in a fighting game.

I just don't understand how Halo ended up in 343's hands.
And how 343 hasn't been closed yet, MCC has been an absolute disaster ever since it released on console.

make your own posts and don't reply to mine to go on some random irrelevant tirade like you just did.

No, I get that. In fact not only do I think modern Halo games are shit, I think all Halo games are shit, and I think anyone who gives a fuck about that franchise is a shitty newfag.

Even on indie games, adding a easy thing like an inventory, or a map can make things for worse, optimization is the key for games to work, and that shit takes a lot of time

>343i somehow breaks the game to the point where weapon accuracy is tied to framerate and it runs at 20FPS on modern hardware
>nah bro, if you ask them to fix it then you're being irrational

here is a revolutionary idea, hire competent devs not lazy faggots

>Not to defend 343 but he's right. Even here on Yas Forums where people are generally more knowledgeable you constantly see

It's not easy but you absolutely can filter the uninformed moron posts from meaningful criticism. This is the same "some people said dumb things so I have an excuse to discount everyone's feedback" bullshit that you can find anywhere.
It's a disingenous approach of people who can't meaningfully defend the flaws in their products.

This is the problem with the games industry
incompetent developers are given the responsibility of working on refurbishing masterpieces with no knowledge of how to do it properly and we're supposed to just deal with it and be happy we got anything at all

Attached: 1580585343783.jpg (532x664, 200.51K)

Wonder what's gonna happen if Halo Infinite bombs? Probably won't bomb cause it'll be an XSX launch title but still curios especially if the reviews aren't good.

Community managers have to deal with ALL of it tho, they do the filtering. Devs, if they read it all, probably aren't going to filter it because they are busy with other stuff and socials are just platforms they chill out with like every other human besides comm managers. Huge, loud swarms of negative and aggressive dumb asses is not worth parcing when you actually do things with your day and life.

what's even the story of infinite a prequel to 1?

>He's completely right, most "suggestions" and backseat programming "this would only take 10mins to fix!" are garbage
>And yet I still have zero sympathy for him because of what a dipshit he appears to be

Funny

reviews don't matter. The fact you talk about the possibility of Halo failing betrays how you don't understand the ways franchises live and thrive regardless of their individual products or how well they are received and sometimes even sell. Halo will be around so long as people care to love it or hate it, it will be successful cause it will suck up attention in ways that yield brief but vast profit for, not 343 maybe, but Microsoft's value as a whole.

so long as Halo doesn't do something causes people to not want to talk about it, we're all gonna be paying M$, regardless if we buy and play the game, in one way or another. See you in the threads later this year.

After having worked with community managers and product managers and game designers who couldn't tell the difference between someone who could articulate a coherent thought and the uninformed ramblings of free-to-play-shaheed from india, I have absolutely zero faith in the abilities of most people who apply those labels to their work.
Maybe that's just sturgeon's law, but some of these devs have to be smarter than that, so I've got to assume that they're simply disingenuous.

Its ok if you want to make a million and a half excuses as to why you won't do . But its also ok for me not to buy your product because you're a whiny bitch that instead of taking time to do you're on twitter writing paragraphs upon paragraphs of excuses as to why you're not doing it.

Attached: 1569100338500.jpg (399x382, 66.06K)

It could have been much worse, Gearbox were trying to get Halo before 343 was formed.

Attached: Bad.jpg (600x800, 97.9K)

mm yep, im thinking hes based

This is why you don't get into game dev btw. You start hating it, the people who buy your shit and yourself. There's no light at the end of that tunnel. That is if you're a big corporate publisher's bitch like that guy. Because then you have to act according to the whims of some suits, while knowing their shit makes your games worse, while having to answer to both them and your audience and to also bear the brunt of every criticism that is actually caused by the suits behind you.

This shit's ridiculous in the context of MCC, which is what I assume what people are complaining about. People have a reasonable expectation about the product that they are purchasing and are dissatisfied. That's it, end of story. You can't whine that the customer is holding you to a higher standard than you want to achieve, because if they didn't think you could meet that standard, they wouldn't have purchased the product in the first fucking place.

I might agree because devs catering to the retarded fanbase is how Natural Selection 2 died, but these retards can't even get audio to play correctly so they can go dilate and kill themselves

343 literally exists for no other reason than to make sure halo exists to move xboxes.

Because going indie isn't a thing that many people have proven to be a successful move

wow you're so smart and not at all like THOSE gamers

YOU HAD THREE MONTHS TO FIX THIS YOU FUCK
YOU'RE OUTSOURCING AUDIO BECAUSE OF YOUR INCOMPETENCE YOU STUPID FUCKS

I DON'T GET WHY YOU DIDN'T DO YOUR FUCKING JOB

Attached: 1554595000999.jpg (1000x796, 89.5K)

meh. zero sympathy.

put yourself out their publicly on a site such as Twitter, and you are implicitly accepting public solicitation and comment.

You're not allowed to know, you cringey incel. You have to make a production chart showing it was possible to do the job.

>shit out a game
>customers tell you that your game is shit
>if you didn't want your shit to be so stinky you should have written up a health and wellness plan on how to make it smell better

343 was a bunch of big name devs that Microsoft gathered to milk Halo to its last bloody drip of profitability

>we're supposed to just deal with it and be happy we got anything at all
of course
you're not an entitled gamer are you?

Awfully arrogant for somebody who was given some else's creation to play with.

>Halo 1 and 2 won't be four player coop
Fuck this fag and everyone in 343

lmao fuck off western dev

Attached: 1582957925953.gif (202x360, 1.84M)

This is very true when you consider that Sonic survived the time between 06 and Generations.

Maybe don't rant at the people who want to buy your game. Even IF it's justified.
This is like Oreo saying...
>Learn some goddamn respect, it takes years of development to get the Quad Stuff'd Oreo ready for store shelves, maybe if you have any complaints you should STFU!

Attached: 1577131176685.gif (280x302, 3.75M)

>that guy at the very bottom who feels to need to get a shot off at manlets
jokes on you. manlets run this town now

Attached: 1580604652763.webm (480x592, 536.21K)

>buys Oreos and supposedly unplayable MCC despite this
>eats hundreds of food and plays hours of game
ya maybe be grateful to your super smart and respectable consoomer base?

its kinda too late. they went though with releasing halo combat evolved on steam and its just as busted as reach.
no amount of dev whining for retweets/upvotes is going to fix the game. the release is botched, again.

Attached: 200w_d.gif (200x142, 27.65K)

Ok but sometimes developers make really stupid fucking decisions that everyone but them hates
See: BHVR and Dead by Daylight

>this is your brain on agile project management

The PMI is a scam. Don't pay them for any PMM exam folks.

>you're not allowed to criticize something unless you're a professional in the industry

brainlet take. Literally the entire point of the entertainment industry is to appease the audience.

Attached: ZEBxqIA[1].jpg (719x436, 33.56K)

Not our fault you have to run every decision in triplicate and mail the blue form to accounting while sucking shit out of the ceo's ass to get anything done with your retarded management. Fire the HR subhumans.

How did Microsoft let these guys ruin Halo's reputation so bad. Halo is literally Microsoft's Mario in terms of big exclusive IP.

Just the amount of competence I expect from the company that stars in the "She can STEM" commercials

Excuses are like assholes, everyone's got one. Maybe if he spent less time on twitter making excuses for himself he'd be better at his job.

>Tweet deleted

Lol

>Better things are not possible

Glad Halo 1, a good game, wasn't made by people who had this attitude. i seriously feel bad for people who work at these former mid-tier studios that got eaten by giant corporate publishers

Attached: fake ass.jpg (600x338, 35.36K)

>describes a complete lack of a reliable CI/CD pipeline
>agile
Pick one.

Sounds like the retards at my company. I'm not even a software developer and I'm having to fix their shit for them constantly.

..the fuck? Is this guy filming himself assaulting people?
