game where you escape from north korea

actual 4d game a la miegakure but more pvp oriented and with full motion not just isometric

spy game where you need to stalk people/put mics in their apartments etc to decide whether they're a threat or not

None of my ideas are original. I just want better versions of things we had in the past.

>Ogre Battle successor
>Melee successor
>Ragnarok Online successor
>City of Heroes successor

I've got ideas on improvements, but that's the general idea.

Just get a job being an ideas guy.

I found out today that the reason this black man is crying is because his weed is so good.

Yeah, some kind of "Running Man" game where you're just a fugitive on the run constantly would be cool and it isn't just you shooting people willy nilly but actively trying to avoid roadblocks, dogs, dragnets etc. on your way to "the border" or some other victory condition type of location.

>Have an idea for an animated series.
>Don't know the first thing about animation.
>Consider dialing it back to a comic series.
>Shit at drawing, and don't have an eye for character/creature/mechanical design

I finally settled on writing a book.

You're a great inventor who has a huge backlog of ideas for machinery, but the problem is you don't know jack shit about engineering, or how machines actually work. Your goal is to find an engineer willing to build your dream machine and describe to them how you think its going to work, so they can build it for you.

>tfw you don't care about ideas right now because you constantly leak them like crazy
At the moment I'm doing all the tutorials in Dreams. So far I've managed to do up to the one where you remix one of their dreams.
Its pretty powerful and presented in a way that makes it very accessible. If coding intimidates you, then the logic board based system Dreams uses to disguise and automatically do all the hard bits for you might help.

Even better idea: Chinese whispers game where you only get a vague idea of what to build as the engineer then you make something following the clues and then watch and see if you somehow passed the assesment.

an mmo
ok
now
stick with me here
ok
an mmo
guys
an mmo
that isn't shit

Spy VS Spy 2
none of you have any idea how badly i want this

I've been having to ideaguy it up for the campaign in my game. It's pretty cheesy, but this is what I've got so far.

What else should I put in? Any good ideas?

An Interplay Fallout-style game where a bunch of shitdick factions are all vying for control of the giant dirtball that Earth now is, and time is the one thing you keep spending but don't have before a thing happens that you can either influence or just deal with the consequences of not

A Doom 2016 like game with Spells and magic. Hopping about the place killing wizards and monsters with Lightning and fire and shit.
As a homage to the old Doom Clones, Heretic and Hexen

A wrestling business sim loosely based on the Monday Night Wars, you compete against other wrestling shows trying to get the best ratings and highest paid PPV events, you sign and trade contracts, book matches, manage tours, manage rivalries and storylines, have to deal with stuff like network censors, superstar injuries, bad weather, spots being botched, you'd have to keep superstars happy if you don't want them jumping ship, etc

there quite literally dozens of Melee successors

A fighting game where players share meter

Gertrude Funberg Saves Jupiter

A monster catcher like dragon warrior monster

Put waifus

no pls I don't want it to be a furry game

Some typa MMO RPG like wow but based on time periods. Each time period is like a different world with a different story. There would be medieval Europe, ancient japan, ancient Egypt, the wild west, pirates, the future, apocalyptic future, and maybe more. There would be the basic mage rogue knight class for each period like the medieval period gets knight, mage, rogue and ancient japan gets samurai ninja onmyoji, and wild west gets sheriff bandit shaman, etc. Each time period has a story that would blend together with the other the time periods in the end and there would be other games that you can play besides roaming the open world and grinding once you finish your character's campaign that would better reward items. idk know what kind of games tho maybe like a small MOBA that has different the time period classes and like 3v3 capture the flag and 1v1s and stuff.

So...grind them out? One of the best ways to learn how to develop is to learn how to mod.

It's like Corruption of Champions, but less fur and futashit and the animators from Wild Life are working with me.

Add real humans

Skyrim, but with guns.

Asymmetrical multiplayer game with vertical maps that you can alter throughout the session. Think L4D, except the killer can direct the hordes where he wants, the specials where he wants, can destroy or blockade certain pathways. The killer can also take the role of the special. At times it would be like playing an RTS as killer for the macro side of the gameplay, you'd probably have to design the UI in a way so the player doesn't realize how similar to an RTS it might be.

Skyrim but with Dragon’s Dogma combat
Dragon’s Dogma but with anime aesthetics

City of Heroes is up right now, though run by a different party, get the Tequila launcher or look up Homecoming servers.
I've had a ton of fun with this shit, reminds me of how good MMOs used to be. Best part is that most people are the same old lads who played it a decade ago.

2fort with 6 classes on a bigger map
one skis like tribes
one rocket jumps
one teleports
two have long range weapons
one can build vehicles
all projectile weapons that inherit momentum
no hitscan

Dark could 2 + monster hunter (pre MHW) + megaman legends 2 low poly style.

>"Arisen-kun, thank you for saving me from the dragon. Please let me express my love for you fufufu" said Fournival-san.

The Ninja Warriors Once Again is sort of that. It's more of a fight-'em-up than a fighting game.

city of heroes is based
i wish we had more population in the new rendition, still not bad though, only took me 6 or 7 minutes to get a team for synapse

40K large scale third-person shooter
Each player controls an entire squad of 2 to 13 NPCs.

Something between Red Orchestra and Republic Commando

Why? so You can steal it? Nah fuck you, you'll just have to find out what my idea was in ~3 years or so when it becomes a video game

Im not giving YOU my ideas you faggot.

this is what everyone hoped CP2077 was gonna be

>Homecoming
Reddit might be more your speed. Talk to me when your on Thunderspy.

A third person Max Payne styled game with a gay femboy/trap protagonist with a great butt. The game would glorify fascism like Starship Troopers and be incredibly violent. Journalists wouldn't know what to do.

A racing game.. With MOUNTAIN PASSES and COPS and GOOD HANDLING and a good soundtrack
Fucking revolutionary but everyone is too lazy to do it apparently

Oh boy. Got several

>FPS that combines modern and classic mechanics

>Cover system, just in case
>Option to go stealth or loud. Both work fine
>Carrying medkits if you so choose
>Good AI
>Graphics
>Mobility options like sliding
>Weapon reloading, which happens automatically to any non-used weapons
>Real-world guns.... Until you get to the experimental stuff.
>Some powers you can play around with

Classic
>Carrying everything at once
>Health and armor pickups.
>Fast movement speed
>Durability
>Big maps with secrets
>Enemy varieties
>Cool experimental guns you slowly get your hands on

Mix
>3 movement speeds. Walk (More like slow jog), run, and sprint, which unlike most “sprints” in FPS games, totally lives up to its name and makes you haul ass like a fucking Olympic sprinter.
>You have a regenerating shield, which you can temporarily strengthen with the armor pickups in the game

Other elements
>The OST is weird as hell. Instead of triumphant orchestra music, techno, or metal, it's sort of this really weird, distorted, Drakengard-esque OST.
>The general tone of the game is really, really unsettling, as our protagonist is slowly going insane from isolation and exhaustion.

And open world game that takes place entirely in a building like Die Hard or Towering Inferno, you have objectives, but you can free roam the entire building as you like.

More options is always great. That's why Melee is the best game ever

Hotline Miami but you kill pedophile occultists in government, media, and finance.

What's a good game to start modding as a beginner, and slowly get into the modding scene, then from there, game dev? Im assuming like Skyrim or Sims or something right?

A FPS where you play as a midget.

Mario game

Ive got two main ideas that Ive developed extensively
One is a western themed game and another is an pseudo-oriental fantasy rpg

The western one ive actually started development, though its been messy since I also had zero experience going in besides basic stuff like making pong and tetris clones
The book i was using to help learn reccomended making simple games like this first before more complex ones, and I think it helped a lot, but I got bored of them and wanted to start on something more ambitious.
Im using RPG maker since its a bit easier to get into, but getting more complex features like gunplay is difficult
Ive got the starting region pretty much 100% but the combat is still placeholder shit and not what my end goal is.
I’m currently working on a duel/shootout system

This game will be fairly simple and short, and after I’d like to try my more grand scale fantasy rpg game idea

>thunderspy
what's the population there?
i had a few characters on there but creamsoda doesnt update it much anymore

Diverian Mist: A Land of Ruin.

Daemons have invaded Earth over 300 years ago (latest year was something like 2204), and basically trashed the entire place by playing dirty. Destroying important infastructures first then taking the rest out. However, they were actually forced by their creator, the Devil Lord.

Humans don't realize that their meager numbers (2-4 million) was because they were spared, otherwise not only them, but the Daemons would've gone extinct at the hands of the Devil Lord.

Explore the various stories.
>Ender's journey to see his mother smile once more.
>Ven's rise to power, from regicide all the way to god slaying, all while 'doing what he wants' apparently.
>Nathaniel Marcos' (The Dark Corpse) heroic journey of eradicating evil, despite being a human turned into a Lich.
>Tanner's journey of becoming the greatest and wisest Eagla ever, eradicating all sorts of evil, evil magic, and other things.
>Natis and Armellion banding together as seemingly comic relief, but have more heroic acts than even Nathaniel.
>Sara Lowen Restalt, the youngest Oathbearer and new hero of Solastram, aiming to Break the Day and release Solastram from the curse of eternal nights set up by the vampires.

All these heroes, all with different names and minds, but all with one common similarity: They all can change the world on themselves, and with each other. Characters forge the story instead of the story forging the characters.

Fight off the Daemons and find the truth, drive back the new uprising of the Legion of Almire, eradicate the Vampires, and shut down various attempts that evil casts into the vast ocean that is the world.

I am superbly autistic and I have an RP server all about this. Please join. We need good characters. We need autists too. discord.gg/Zxjv6Jn

They're all fairly grounded in reality and incorporate the "nothing is original" principle.
In all actuality just constructive criticism disguised as original ideas.
Practically all of them could be summed up as
>What if the publisher didn't fuck over their own IP to make a quick buck?
>Mass Effect
>Mirror's Edge
>Dragon Age
>Deus Ex
>Dishored
etc.

Underlining potential and good ideas and how they all eventually turned into shovelware.

horror game where you're a midget who has to defend your home from invaders with weapons and/or booby traps. (yes I am aware that it's the plot to home alone.)

Add ways to increase the speed through actions and tricks. Looks a bit too slow.

ow pop but it actually has updates compared to homecoming
