I remember the fucking moment I was first introduced to DMC. My cousin and brother were playing it and i was in the other room to witness the character-establishing

Is it wrong that I want to see a remake of DMC1 like the RE2 remake? Keep the atmospehere but have a goofier dante fighting more servants of Mundus with devil arms from dmc1 bosses, maybe even a Trish boss fight, more emphasis on the final Nelo Angelo fight and Vergil

I don't much care for remakes and if they did a DMC1 remake they would probably change the gameplay to be more akin to DMC5, which would require complete level and enemy design overhauls.

It is a bit. Think about how REmake2 has completely changed the tone of the game. So much of what made DMC1 great was its tone and atmosphere and if you replace that with some uber self-important and serious interpretation you will lose half of what made it appealing and lasting.

Well, the Devil Arms in DMC3 and 5 are literally bosses that Dante beats the shit out of before they give him their power; so it's kind of the same thing.

Don't know why the current devs don't want to at least make them skins for a DMC1 Dante costume. Force Edge, Sparda, and Yamato are the only DMC1 DAs that crossed over.

Sounds like another FF7R situation to me, on one hand there are the people who want the remake to be more like the sequels with emphasis on combos and juggling and on the other hand you have the purists who prefer the original style warts and all.
I would personally like it if kamiya was in charge of the remake if it ever happened, as much as i like itsuno him running the show would turn it into something it was never meant to be. I know alot of people will disagree with me on that tho

cavaliere feels so slow to use, I just can't get in to it. Nevan is weird as fuck but you can demolish any enemy pack in moments with it. It's less useful against bosses though.
