Wow, this place sucks. Nothing but gacha and party games

Best place to play rhythm games in the west, though.
Benjamin Price
The one I went to had about a billion and one employees, that rushed to sell you multiple drinks within a five minute period. Place was a strip club without the strippers.
Justin Baker
They're opening one of these in my area soon, why should I, an adult, go to one of these?
Aaron Sanchez
if you have a asian gf
Elijah Harris
sfv cabs are dope
Elijah Bell
>find good grinding game to play during the half-off hours
>it breaks
I-it's not like I wanted stupid cheap Nendoroids or anything...
Henry Carter
Literally don't. The entire place is swarming with families and kids. Kids that will steal your stuff if you leave it out while bowling. Had two brats eyeing my food the entire time.
Ian Young
No fighting games at all at mine. Just Guitar Hero with an uncalibrated screen, gachas, and some generic arcade shooters.
The bowling is the only decent spot
Jason Long
Do these have fighting games?
Adrian Wood
I'm not hit with an unpleasant odor upon entry so I'm gonna say no
Angel Thompson
Mine does; but only ones that have local multiplayer machines are a bunch of SFV arcade edition boxes.
The rest are all single player. Weird assortment, too. Sengoku Basara X and a Yu Yu Hakusho fighter stand out to me...also the only place in the west I've seen a Blitzkampf machine.
Eli Stewart
I live by the ABQ one, there's an entire corner that is standard arcade cabinets loaded up with fighting games, ranging from fucking obscure Japanese ones all the way to Tekken 7
Cameron Stewart
I've been to 2 Round1s and they have all had local and sometimes online multiplayer (through Nesica). These included vanilla Tekken 7, newest SamSho, Blazblue, KOF 98, XIII, XIV, BlazBlue and shit ton more. How shit is your Round1 that they dont have multiplayer fighting games?
Mason Ward
Don't they have a Time Crisis machine there? every arcade i've been in has one
Aiden Evans
>Round1 gacha games
What are you guys even referring to? I go to the one in Exton PA and it's rhythm games, claw machines, photo booths, a lot of air hockey (which I can sadly never find a worthy opponent for), and your usual quarter-eaters. Plus a fighting game section that not a single person plays in.
Anthony Anderson
1. Stop using gacha if you don't know what it means
2. It has plenty of shooting, fighting and rhythm games unless the new ones are different
Xavier Flores
The only ones worth going to are in Japan. American big-box arcades never-ever.
Jason Green
One I live near has lots of rhythm games, all I could imagine going to a modern arcade for anyway.
Charles Gomez
I have melty blood at the round one near me
Michael Harris
Texas Chads rise up.
Austin Cruz
WHERE MY GUNSLINGER BOYS AT
Andrew Clark
I dont know why everyone here shits on round zero. Its well maintained has a good variety of games imported and the staff do a decent job of kicking out problem people. Its much better than the old arcade scene if slightly more corporate oriented.
David Taylor
They put one in my area a while back and it was pretty good for a while, we got tekken 7 vanilla before it released for console, and that was cool. But now all the fighting game cabs have been fucked up by kids and retards, they refuse to fix them and all the prices of things went up. I just go to the one a few hours away from me now because it's not shit.
Josiah Cooper
one near me is in a shopping center that's fucking dead as hell.
only reason you go to that building is for the arcade, the cinema, or because you have a very specific thing to purchase at 1 of the 10 or so stores that are still actually open. They're demolishing an entire wing of the damn place it's so dead.
John Rodriguez
Rhythm and Fighting games give you the best bang for your buck.
>tfw was able to get a good 15 or so matches on 1 credit on SFV by outplaying strangers and the AI
Then again the AI was braindead at times and allowed me to win by just using crouching heavy sweep.
Charles Phillips
Good luck out there. Maybe they'll make it a standalone location.
Jayden Ross
I've been to the one in Aurora Illinois and they had a ton of fighting games and shooters.
Easton Howard
>Wow, this place sucks. Nothing but gacha and party games.
Did you even do a full walk around? There's a Japanese rhythm game and PCB section
Chase Perez
>mechs not doing their job
i used to work at a mech at one and we took the games very seriously, but it seemed like we were like the only store that did. They ended up moving some of us to other stores because of it
Dominic Cruz
It's still a fine arcade location, just the general death of malls/shopping centers. A lot of the store space has been leased to service outlets rather than brick and mortar stores. There's youth karate, an iceskate rink, a maternity clinic, and sparse stores that you'll see everywhere like victoria's secret or go calendars.
Isaiah Sullivan
Silver City Galleria?
Joseph Williams
Wacca is best rhythm game. Fight me.
(Dance Rush Stardom is a close second)
Luke Russell
Never tried Wacca when I went, played around with Miku, Cross X Beat, Dj Max etc.
Cooper Sanders
Round1's have Gunslinger Stratos?
That's pretty sick
What other Japanese 3v3 games do they have?
Lincoln Parker
Some have/had magicians dead
Caleb Gomez
I only say that because Wacca is the only arcade rhythm game where I haven't been total trash. I just wish it had a better selection of songs.
There's another circular rhythm game with individual buttons that I also enjoy because it has City Escape, Live & Learn, and motherfucking YATTA.
Elijah Reed
>My R1 gets WACCA
>It's a hand-me-down that can't connect to server
>They've done literally fucking everything possible to get it to work but to no avail
At least we probably have the best PIU cab on the east coast
Lincoln Morris
I prefer Groovecoaster.
Logan Hernandez
Can't beat the OG
And Chunithm's the better touch-motion rhythm anyways
Julian Price
>they put DRS by the entrance so people come in and stare at you playing
James Edwards
you go there for the cheap baseball batting center, minigolf, billiards and karaoke.
the game center part is... meh ok at best.
Samuel Ross
What type of shitty R1 are you going to? Mine has all sorts of cool shit, with these being my favorite.
Blake Morris
Jack Morris
round1usa.com
>all these anime figures
>both figma's and nendoroids
What the fuck?
All I have here is a shitty D&B that has a bunch of dumb shit
Grayson Phillips
it's better than most other pay to play arcades, shit's clean and well maintained
free play arcades where you pay a cover to get in are better though even if they're usually nasty pieces of shit that make you want to wash your hands twice an hour
they've usually got the best air hockey tables around if you only want to spend a couple bucks instead of $25 to get in
Kayden Campbell
My nigga
What do you play?
Isaac Rodriguez
They actually let me take this home, fun times.
Jack Bailey
initial d and stalking the cute white arab looking girls.
Jacob Price
>Was going to get a R1
>Fucking town board tells the mall they can't because god forbid they have a fucking store in the mall on an anchor store that's open past normal mall hours
>mfw
I crave the blood of the shitstains who'd rather have an anchor of the mall be a dead shell than dare have an arcade like every other mall not in the area. If they let Dave and Busters in but not Round 1 I'm going to wake up covered in blood that doesn't belong to me.
Robert Gomez
>anchor store at my mall closed
>it's becoming a grocery store
>can soon get cheap food right next to the arcade
Jack Jones
>tfw IIDX Lightning cab STILL isn't working
Jonathan Parker
>tfw neet
>need a job
>apply for a arcade tech spot for a store opening in my city
>store's about to open this month and still no call
Anthony Reed
Better than Dave & Buster's. What a garbage arcade
Grayson Scott
New Jersey has zero good arcades, even if there are any, they're on the opposite side of the state. I had hopes of having a cool arcade I could play at for an hour or so after work because I work until midnight dashed because of old thinking that's going to lead to this mall dying as they bleed stores every other week.
Benjamin Cooper
Never seen any of those, every time I go it's mostly Mexicans and SEAs.
Isaiah Murphy
Sucks man, I have a Gameworks, Dave and Busters, and 2 Round1s all within 30 minutes of me, and an official Bandai Namco restaurant with an arcade
Hunter Howard
The tukwila one has an entire section of fightan and a stupid amount of Rhythm games. What else are you looking for exactly?
Thomas Evans
Niggers always break the machines. The Taiko drum game is always ripped to sheds.
Sebastian Jenkins
>Stalkers on Yas Forums
I mean it makes sense, but people that openly admit it on here always feel unsettling to read
Grayson Lee
Quit your bitching, you got 3 of them near you.
you can drive west to Fashion District in philly, north to middletowns crystal run, or east to hicksville in long island.
been going to these to play maxi 5 for 2 years. Just dont look at your bank statements when it comes to gas and toll booth fees
Oliver Smith
>gameworks, d&b, multiple R1s, galloping ghost, lots of conventions and numerous fighting game majors all within a 30 minute drive of each other
For living in a boring suburb where nothing fucking happens and no one wants to go to, it sure does feel nice to be within a stone's toss of all this going on and actually having a job to afford to do so
Jaxon Williams
Ah, you are a fellow Illinois bro. You forgot the bandai restaurant, it's literally across the street from gameworks.
You can get a timecard and play unlimited wangan there
Jeremiah Thomas
Round One at least has a better selection than Dave and Busters. I was disappointed my local Round One didn't have Taiko but that led me to get into DrumMania instead. That game is fucking cool.
I thought I would just spend all my money on Project Diva but the place introduced me to a lot of other rhythm games I've never tried before. And I'll be honest, Rhythm games are the only reason to go to Round One
Isaac Cook
Hell yeah Maxi bro.
I took a 3 month hiatus and my crowns were taken.
Austin Thomas
>you can drive west to Fashion District in philly
You mean the place where someone got jumped by a group of niggers INSIDE THE FUCKING STORE?
Hunter Garcia
Bowling is fun.
Nathaniel Morgan
>which I can sadly never find a worthy opponent for
Because no one cares about air hockey. What a weird thing to be passionate about. I've never heard of anyone taking air hockey serious enough to be skilled at it.
Aaron Barnes
>a person with friends on Yas Forums
Get out while you can, you certainly don't belong here
