I was shitter like you user and died a fuckton of times to him the first time. When he grabs the head run away, you have infinite stamina after all. When he does that fucking jumping grab attack, run and jump. Seriosly running and jumping are really fucking useful in sekiro. That is until you learn to parry and that hesitation is defeat.

Yeah there is. But its honestly not that hard. I dont even have tips to give because it only took a few tries. Umbrella the scream, and deflect once you figured out all his animations. Deflecting when he lifts the sword up and slams it on 2nd phase is really important because you get free hits after.

His second phase is much easier than the first to deal with because he can't do any bullshit grabs. Just keep sprinting, when he does his lunge you can swing around for free damage or if he's in his sword combo you deflect and use the loaded spear at the end to get some hits in.

I was stuck on this boss for hours but once I had his moveset downloaded, I cleared the two apes fight no problem. Greed kills you quicker than anything else, get your licks in and move on, it's not like his health regenerates.

after i got the hang of the ape, he was actually one of the most fun bosses. once you study his moves, you can tell exactly what youre supposed to do, even without spear cheese. just hang back and watch him for a long time without actually engaging and learn the combos.

Just keep trying user it took me an entire evening to beat him but damn it felt good. Even better was fighting him again but after getting all the dialogue

maybe im just unluckiest person to ever play sekiro but he was too aggressive. like non-stop attacks and perfect tracking. no amount of offensive or defensive strats worked, he was just always on top of me with hitboxes and fireballs. after a couple days of attempts i watched videos of other people fighting him and ive never seen him so passive. i lost all will at that point.

The fire umbrella really helps with DoH. If you're sticking close to him all your should really need to worry about is his stomps and body slams. Also if you didn't know, he can be stunned 3 times with Malcontent.

whenever I've beaten him just sprinting to his back without delay almost never fails, if you arent fast enough you need to wait for him to do a medium to long distance attack and then run to his back

Cheesed the fuck out of demon and don't give a single fuck. Beat isshin first try. Overall, game sucks and they tried to appeal to tryhards way too much. Looking for a more refined game with other merits for their next title.

Or you just spam shadow rush. This is assuming you are ok with the ole cheese. Shadowrush -> step to the side -> Shadowrush -> step to the side, repeat. Works through all his phases, at least up until NG++++ as that's as far as I played.

I love SS Isshin's sword phase cause it feels like a proper duel between swordsmen. Fire Isshin just throws that out the window with his gay nonsense.

Tbh I dunno how bad Fire Isshin is really, I only took a few tries and my PC started freaking out at the particle effects or something and slowed down to 20fps and would go back up to 60+ so I've not tried again since.

if you mean the side step he does that ends in either a side slash or a grab, it always follows a dash backward on his part (though if you have him backed up it's harder to recognize but the animation is the same) so you know when it's coming
