Confirmed: this fight is an enormous smoothbrain filter. Once you somehow manage to get through it with seven other people who can do the song and dance without killing the group over a dumb mistake, you're set.
And as a bonus the other floors are much easier, since every retarded simpleton never got past Ramuh. It's actually an amazing balancing strategy, but unfortunately it means you'll probably need to find a carry group if you want to clear at all, specially weeks after launch.

A bit of autism I've been thinking about, but I think it'd be a really compelling sidequest chain to meet someone who was Vauthry's friend.
It could go in to detailing what Vauthry was like behind closed doors and when he isn't trying to be a Glorious Leader. Ideally it wouldn't try to redeem him in any way, but maybe just shed a little more light on to his own life.

It's so frustrating. People are selfish assholes and think they deserve a clear when they haven't spent enough time in practice parties to process the fight enough so that they stop making stupid p1-2 mistakes.
