Someone relatable, like you and me, and who has a just cause. That's bullshit. Real power is the guy sitting half a world away, in his throne, pulling all the strings, who's so far away from the action you'll never even see him. And yet its his word or lack thereof, that determines the fate of millions of people. Or just one. That's his choice to make.

Simply put, the clearer you can see, feel and recognize someone's power, the less power they actually have. The truly powerful have such a sphere of influence and are so far removed from the individuals within it, that those who are in its grasp don't even know it. They think it's just the way the world works, how the town or the culture looks like, or the economy feels like.
