There were two recall attempts last year which both ultimately failed because they couldn't collect enough signatures.

After all this bullshit, though, and especially if Gavy doubles down over the next month or two....another recall effort might do better.

This is good advice. At least disable location services on any phones you bring, or just remove the batteries and/or sim cards while you are there, then reassemble on the way home at some point. That way if you really need your phone at some point, like if there's an emergency, you can use it but otherwise not.

Always remember though, many cops are good guys who are pretty conservative. Fine to mistrust them en masse, as a sensible principle. But teach your kids to ALWAYS be civil to cops, cooperate, don't cause problems; if nothing else, it will serve them well as private citizens to do so. And if you can make friends with a cop, get to be genuine buddies, then you are on the inside and again, the relationship will benefit you sooner or later. Inside info, someone to give you a warning when SHTF, an ally with extra resources and knowledge.

Don't teach your kids to be mindless haters. That's not good for them. You want to have that attitude yourself fine, but it will not benefit your kids. I told her the only people she should ever admit her wrongs to are people she loves. if an outside authority figure, teaches, principle, cops, catches her doing something and she is in the wrong, her best course of action is to shut her mouth, admit no guilt and take her punishment like a women. if she is blamed for something she didn't do, fight it tooth and nail.
