Ah the point is to be mindful of the words as one prays. So "Our Father" is not just the two words, but a meditation on what they mean. We don't pray to the concept of a supreme being, but to our spiritual father, to whom we owe our existence.
"Who art in heaven"
Our Lord lives in a different plane of existence, a place of perfection, to which we have access via His grace.

"Hallowed be Thy name"
This one's a doozy. By recognizing the Name, we confirm and reaffirm His existence and omnipotence.

Anyway, you get the point. It isn't merely a chant or koan.

Alright, your post just sounds like Catholic pilpul. Repetition of phrases is supposed to put one into a state of hypnosis, in other words to open themselves spiritually which in turn makes spiritual attacks easier on them. Pray to God however you want, just know that you can just talk to him like you talk to people. He's everywhere and he's always listening.

That is not always bad. Actually if you want a prayer to work, it's essential. Because the conscious and subconscious are more intimate with each other, you will know because the subconscious does not see time as linear but you're still aware in the present moment. And then you really focus on whatever you think you need, with visualization and feeling as thought it has already come to pass. If you can make it clear after one time, that's great. If not, repeat it to make such an impression. Then you forget about it. Vain repetitions are just that. Empty and lazy words backed by nothing.
