Leftists respect strength. As do most people. The right is weak. They had both houses and Trump in the White House for a couple years, and were too corrupt and weak to accomplish anything lasting. Republicans will continue to talk about illegal immigration while doing nothing to stop the flow of cheap labor to their donors. They will talk about freedom and do nothing about internet censorship and the surveillance state. They will talk about the free market while allowing the Fed and associates to continue to rob the middle class blind through inflation and printing money to pay for military industrial complex projects and fake wars, to bail out banks running loan policies where failure and expected bailouts are built into their models, basically to enrich themselves and their friends via redistributing the wealth of the middle class.
