2% of the population was nazi. The other, like every time in history just wanted to grill. It's not what the peaceful majority think that matter, but what the small minority of men with radical ideas do.

>german army equals nazi
mutt education, everyone
Jack Thomas
They still had a conscription program, so they'd still have to fight for the cause whether they wanted to or not
Luke Perry
But... But my video games? You mean I have been killed conscripts who have been forced at gunpoint to go on the eastern front and accepted to do it because their homes were bombed, their friends and family killed and because they didn't wanted to know the fate of Ukraine? But... but... I was told they were evil and I was the good guy. Their leader was mean.

My grandpa was like 5 when the war ended, and his dad died in ww2 due to grenade fragments, a bit before Stalingrad. Gran still has "Mein Kampf" from his parents' marriage (was given out for free at weddings), he never talks about whether or not he supports nazi ideology but I kinda think he does since he was a tank driver and they once he and a few of his friends got suspended for singing a Nazi tank song (Ob's stürmt oder schneit)

One grandfather served in the Wehrmacht, he was conscripted at the age of 17 and fought in italy. He went into US captivity.
My other grandfather was much older, I know next to nothing about him. He was a member of the NSDAP and had a high rank in some youth-organization. He was a nazi to his death.
My great-grandfather (born 1900) served in the Wehrmacht as well. I don't know wherw he fought but he was released from captivity in early 1946 or late 1945.
Easton Brown
Girlfriends grandfather was enlisted during the war. her step father would occasionally ask him to apologize for the holocaust. Hans always replied by asking if he was their. When he obviously said no he then told him how he was and it didn't happen

yoy're thinking of waffen-ss

>Did any of your grandparents fight in the Second World War as Nazis? Yes, I am old. >Were they devoted to the cause or were they just sort of strung along? devoted >Did they ever share any of their thoughts on Wars outcome? The current state of Germany today? They have been dead for a while. I think my grandfather would have been opposed to that cesspit Merkel has turned Germany into.
Are there any interviews with these guys? What was their motive to join? Citizenship in the Reich?
Henry Gomez
Only know about my father's side. His grandfather was a fanatical NSDAP member and was Ortsgruppenleiter of their village. Didn't go to war because he was a manlet und too old, went into hiding when the Soviets arrived. Was a rabid anti-communist til he died. He's considered a bitter piece of shit by everyone. The other grandfather was a 2m blonde blue-eyed aryan from Sudenland, he joined the SS and died on the eastern front god knows where. His family had to flee from Sudetenland.
Leo Roberts
One of my great grandfathers was in the SS or SA I cant remember which one only that a lot of pictures in an old album were missing.
The others all served in the Wehrmacht. Some years ago i found an Iron Cross from on of them.

My grandfather basically had a 5 year vacation in France. I don't think he even fought there he was some kind of field cook. When the allies came he had to work at the port a few days until a ship to the USA departed with him still working on it and when he arrived in the USA they told him to fuck off back to Germany with the next ship, which he did. He didn't give a fuck about nazi ideology he was pretty opportunistic and avoided conflict and danger at all cost My grandmother lost 3 brothers though, east front was a comeatly different story.
They were fighting colonial powers. Hitler wanted France and the UK to loose their colonies, so their factories would not have a captive market and Germany could offer their own products to, say, India or Africa. This is why so many Indians joined: they wanted a free India and Gandhi wasn't doing jack shit.
Dominic Gomez
Great grandfather fought but wasnt that thrilled about it as he got drafted in the end and feigned near sightedness to avoid it in the beginning. He was stationed with some italians in tyrol 45 and deserted when the ammunition run out. Another one I only know about being involved in killing a polish village. I know more about my grandparents domestic life and the aftermsth then the war itself. Generally all family branches had some people who believed in the message and did extrawork to spread it and some who went along only so far as it was convenient while keeping their beliefs at side.
>2% More like 20%+ Every bigger family had a few true believers to varying degrees.
Adrian Adams
Interesting My own great great grandfather told me that the Bengal famine caused a lot of Indians (well, Bangladeshis now) to consider joining up with the Japanese to fight off British occupation. Apparently the japs would try sowing dissent and weapons to them. Obviously this isn't how history played out. I guess in other regions of the subcontinent Germany was doing their thing too
Ryan Bell
Yes, pic very related.
Opa was just a normal guy, he served as a Truck Driver in Poland, France, Africa, Russia and Italy. "Kriegsmarine" means Navy, but actually he was an Infrantryman. In Italy he became a prisoner of war. He escaped and almost lost a leg as they went overt the Alps in Pajamas.
Just as i said, he was just a normal Guy, not a Nazi.
My own grandfather was a drafted member of the Waffen-SS. Unlike the public opinion suggests, even SS-members could be drafted, so he started his journey as a 16-year old in 1944 to fight the Russians on the eastern front.
In the early 1945 he and his friends split off their unit and went west for two months, evading military police to become enprisoned in western Europe rather than by red Fashists.
He never talked, nor did anybody else in our environment. As all his comrades are dead now though, I feel free to tell his story. He was scarred for the rest of his life and tried to forget what they forced upon him. He sang old songs, but he never digged Hitler.
German society nowadays, I'm afraid, is none other than in 1933. As soon as you sympathise with anything this country doesn't support, you will be sourveiled and not only that, it is a chaotical sourveillance. It can happen that three or more interior secret services, apart from eachother and without knowing of the action of another, sourveil the same target (each federal country has got its own service btw) and therefore people here now think the NWO was pressuring them to comply while in reality its just TOO MANY AGENTS and then on top come left or right wing terrorists.
I can honestly say: Germany has not changed, Germans have not changed and the state of art here now is to just revert the political scale and be Fashist for the other spectrum. That's how stupid Germans are. For real.
Grandpa fought the Japs. Be and his family were Jews who hated Hitler. Me personally I don’t hate the man. I think the ideas are right to an extent.
Carter Ramirez
The word nazi itself is just kike propaganda. Hate this retarded shit.
Noah Parker
>More like 20%+ >Every bigger family had a few true believers to varying degrees. Yeah, he didn't won the elections alone, but few actually went as far as joining the party. Hitler made all the German people back on their feet after the disaster of WWI, the Treaty of Versailles, the Spanish flu, the 1929 crisis and the communist revolution. He solved the debt, homeless and unemployment crisis, gave a job to the people, gave them something to be proud of, made them one united population with strong solidarity and sense of duty, they made them feel their were building a new world, and he wanted what was best for them. It would take a lot to go against that just for the well being of the Jew.
There is Romania who joined the Axis just to stay independent from the USSR. If I was Indian, I know I wouldn't fight for the people who created a famine in my country.
Ayden Gray
>red fashists Boomer pls Not tolerating dissent is a thing since the bronze age. And no, you dont get beaten to death in a basement for sperging out against immigration in public. Control is real and there is some soft authoritarianism shaping up but in no way comparable. Comparing everything to 20th century western authoritarianism even takes away the possible nuances of opression and ppl control a government can conduct.
Gabriel Jones
Read the title again fucking mutt, nobody cares about what your shit cowardly gramp did with the gooks
You sound like a fucking retard. Hitler's germany is the same as merkels cause they both have authority? Thats dumb as fuck. You libertarians never fail to outdue yourselves.

My great grandfather lived in Berlin. He was drafted and killed in France

And youre a dissapointment to your anscestors and a traitor to your nation. Kys pussy. Youre the reason why black americans get station in your country and fuck your women like mad. Every single one Ive known. Tons of them. The stories. They flock to them. They come HERE and flock to them. German men today are absolute failures. Heil Hitler.
Ethan Allen
Right. Goes in the street and say the Hall of costs have killed only 5 millions Jews. Or start your own journal and report rape statistics. Ha, yes, this one is illegal, so there isn't even stats to report.
The TV parrot that AFD are the nazi and want to gas all the Jews and you tell me this is fine?
Ryder Sullivan
Bonus questions to my kraut friends: What do you think Germany would look like today if Hitler had won the war?
How about the rest of the world?
Easton Hill
Yes my Grandfather serve in the Panzergrenadier-Regiment Großdeutschland he fought in France,Yugoslavia and Russia. He fought in the Battle Kiev, Operation Wintergewitter the attempt to rescue the sixth army encircle in Stalingrad , Third Battle of Kharkov and Battle of Kursk (WIA) after that he mostly fought around Romania and near the end of the war in East Prussia until he was able along with a other few move west to surrender to the British. He move to U.S. in the 1953 and he say he serve the army not for Hitler but for his people, family, and country. He says the west betray German as Germany was fighting the real the communist and the outcome of war was one eternal darkness and guilt for Germans. He say Hitler was a good leader until the war happen after that Hitler ruin everything by not listening to his Generals. He past away in 2013 but he say the Current state of Germany is no different from that of the Weimar Republic and that sooner or later another Hitler will rise.
>Did any of your grandparents / great grandparents fight in the Second World War as Nazis? Yes, he did. I found some picture of my maternal grandfather in his Wehrmacht uniform.
