What you're thinking of is the kind of microchimerism where a trace amount of the offspring's DNA is retained in the female reproductive system. It's been theorized that trace amounts of genetic material from semen may also be retained in the system, though there's yet to be definitive studies performed due to obvious social implications the findings could have. Their hesitance to conduct a study alone has convinced me that it's worth being cautious.
