It's the way of things.
Men get the short end of the stick but at the end of the day you can't really criticize a woman for being a brainless, financially supported arm decoration when you don't know what it's like to have the option of choosing that life.
I myself am a gay guy and although I think of myself as a relatively principled person, I can't even say for sure if I would turn down a rich older guy who can promise me a life of comfort, security, and affection.
Luckily I'm not attractive enough for that.
