The Stormcloak obviously. The only reason to stay with the Empire would be for security, but they can't even provide that. Why should the sons and daughters of Skyrim bleed in a far off conflict when the Imperials lose their spine and give up? It's more complicated than that though. Ulfric is a plant for the Altmer (albeit unknowingly). They captured him, then set him loose specifically so he could start a war in Skyrim. The goal of which was to give the Aldmeri Dominion an excuse to invade in mass and genocide the Nords.

The Empire knows this, and wants to squash the rebellion and maintain the appearance of compliance while they slowly regain strength. They don't plan to obey the Concord forever. They just need time to regroup so the Aldmeri Dominion doesn't smite them. They also need the help of the Redguards (who were actually successful in finding off the Dominion).

Granted, you can make the argument that having the Dragonborn on Ulfric's side gives the Stormcloaks the edge against the Dominion, but it's the fucking Aldmeri Dominion. They're literally a horse of locusts that destroy almost everything they set their eyes out to destroy, kind of like fucking kikes.

So yeah, the Aldmeri Dominion won, but the Empire is only playing nice until it has a chance to fight back. The Legion are the real rebels, hiding their power level until the day of rope comes.

In TES, elves (mer) are objectively superior to men in every possible way except the speed at which they breed.

Skyrim Alone cannot defend against the Elven Menace, they need to cooperate with the Imperials and Dunmer and Niggers to beat the Aldmeri Dominion.
Also: The Dragonborn is rightful High King and Emperor. Mede gets killed by the Dark Brotherhood and YOU are the Dragonborn and therefore the one with the best claim.
When you play as Empire you see that the Legate and Tullius are anti-Thalmor too, they just wait for an opportune moment to strike, which arrives after the story of skyrim. (Emperor dead, Ulfric dead, Alduin dead)

The empire is the only thing preventing skyrim from being annexed by the thalmor.

Within the lore, the Thalmor are right. Mundus is a prison, escaping it is their destiny.

The dragonborn is the avatar of Talos and thus Lorkhan so either he sides with the stormcloaks and gasses the elves, or he sides with the crumbling empire and makes it based again and gasses the elves. There's really no wrong answer, the dragonborn is to powerful to lose.

I did both & the missions are basically identical except ulfric is far more interesting than the generic romaniggers.
