1) It cannot solve the free rider problem so you get a race to the bottom and jealousy of those not pulling their weight.
2) It makes creating new production chains of complex goods almost impossible, it can steal those prior existing successful ones from a capitalist market but it has no mechanism for creating new production.
3) Centrally running an economy is basically impossible.
4) It requires immense amount of violence to keep everyone who disagrees in line, and violent regimes are unstable and don't last very long.
5) It's open to corruption because it centralizes power in a way that can only be taken back through force, and so as soon as someone bad takes the reigns you get a lot of suffering and misery.
Even among chimp troupes what you find is that hierarchies that are predicated one top chimp exerting power to keep everyone else in line are very violent and end really fast, because 2 chimps who are willing to cooperate together can tear the top chimp to shreds, and the long lasting and most stable leadership comes from the chimps who climb the competence heirachy and cooperate remain in power. They tend to be the chimps that can share, that make an effort get along with the other males, who defend those smaller than him, who engages in mutual grooming, etc.
This is more closely analagous to capitalism where you agree there's a hierarchy, or many different hierarchies and people have a fair shot at climbing one or more of them, and people that climb to the top are rewarded for doing so. Because we all benefit.
