Germany is a melting pot of Europe. There isn't a single modern "German" without a non-german somewhere in the ancestry.
After WW2 ~10 million German men died, so Germans opened industrial cities all over the country and invited people from all the corners of the planet, this resulted in tons of mixing and genetic diversity, that's why Germans having 1 Turkish or Bosnian grandfather is so common.

Genetically speaking modern Serbs are farther from Sorbians of old (and from modern Sorbs) than Poles or Czechs. I2 isn't slavic, it's European from before IndoEuropeans. "Serbians" just got assimilated into the superior slavic culture, same as most of Balkans. Most slavic south slavs are Slovenians and Croatians.
As shown in pic rel, some will say slavs were around there much earlier though. So maybe the region got enriched with migrants after the fall of Rome or something. I find that area of our history to be underresearched.

Funny thing, really, actual "germanics" are not indoeuropean, they're native european. R1b is celtic, not germanic. Another funny thing is Scandinavia, where most of actually germanic I1 haplogroup is present has a lot of slavic R1a. So what I'm seeing here is that Germany is to Nordics what Balkans are to Slavs. They migrated there, assimilated the peoples culturally but weren't numerous enough to dominate genetically, but still left a significant mark.
