It feels hugely powerful. I get the history and why its "banned," but why do we not have powerful cultural displays like this anymore?
It doesn't have to be a roman, the commies have their stupid fist, but where is our cultural power symbol am I just missing it? Where is the unifying gesture?
Whenever I'm biking in traffic and I turn left I signal my turn with a roman salute. Looks like I'm just signalling my turn but it feels pretty amazing to have one hand on the bars flying past cars heiling Hitler

we have the knight's salute. but it doesn't feel nearly as powerful. I have saluted, yes
Easton Russell
It is a powerful gesture, directing will and vision symbolically. George Orwell wrote about how goose-stepping and roman saluting was literally a threat to leftism.

A negro critical theory professor that I used to fuck and mentally torture for the lol's gave me some shit about white privilege being the reason I hadn't gotten corona despite me likely being exposed (I'm a physician). I made a joke about my morning Roman salute being the thing that protected me.
Then I wondered, what if? That was several weeks ago but then I decided to actually try. It's been an empowering experience to have that start my day.

unironically the first thing you'll learn when you start going to school although not from teachers
It's time to reclaim the Roman salute. It's been our cultural heritage since long before the Romans. It's an indo-european greeting. If the Jews cry, we say they are "attacking our culture".
