SK definitely made some deal with China. The outbreak of the virus and the immediate containment of it...which didn't feel genuine or believable, and their support for China in the last months... I think China will annex NK in the coming months. Gain access to the Pacific without the chances of Taiwan or SK blockading them. NK became too dangerous for China. Kim was too close to triggering a war with the US and thus forcing China to take a side and lose influence in the world.

lil' Kim was warmongerer at first, but I blame his lack of experience at state handling and agressive folks at communist cabinet for that. Fast forward years later he wised up a bit and started to warm things up with south (even though there were some mandatory shittalks there and here) and even US.
