My friend is a subway train operator in NYC and just came back to work after being out with Covid...

I got plenty. Our call volume was insane. Basically we were receiving 7k calls a day when our usualy call volume for this time of year is 4k. Our 911 system is absolutely broken here. We are basically mobile doctors (lol imagine someone getting a shitty crash course in healthcare with only a 6month course) for the poor community. They call us from anything and everything.

I got plenty of stories. But I have to vent. So I'll tell you about the day I had the most deaths. which was rather recent.

First one 10am, subway system, got a call for any unknown. Guy was was underneath the platform for at 2 days. Rigor, pronounced it after the firefighters got him out. Rats were eating him and we waited 30 minutes for the PD corpse van.

Second was the projects which where most of our calls come from. Woman lived with 6 other people. She was in the shower for 4 hours, you'd think they check on her? Nope. Pulled her out preformed CPR, skin was peeling off of her because she was in the hot shower for so long. She was 80 so her ribs broke immediately during CPR. 20 minutes and if they are still asystol then they're considered dead. The LT called it after her entire chest collapsed.

Going to another job, get stopped for an unconscious in a uber because PD was flagged down by the driver. the guy is 370 pounds. His wife said he had a fever cough and trouble breathing (COVID). I pull him out with PD and he crushes one of them. Immediately know its respiratory arrest. Start bagging him, vomits all over me and PD. Goes into Cardiac, medics show up, its 40 degrees outside and we all freezing since we can't lift him on the stretcher. LT calls it after 20 minutes. Call it.

Literally the project building right next to us there was a call for unknown. 90 year old woman. Fever cough COPD. Granddaughter said she was sleeping for 16 hours and hasn't eaten in 6 days or drank in 3. Family of 5 were all coughing on us and crying. She had Rigor, dead for 12 hours at least.

why are these degenerates not just executed on the spot? i mean maybe give them a second chance one time but if these are "regulars" what the fuck is the point of them existing? it's like putting a sick dog down, better for everyone.

Narcan is a result of letting women in the workplace. In a normal society these people would just be killed. But women would rather spend millions of dollars in resources to keep them alive.

Do you get a little happy when they die? I feel like I would. Anymore stories?

Holy shit

fucking lel

The homeless sleeping on the trains is getting out of hand. The subway gets worse every year at an exponential rate. The people niggers in charge of the mta need to get lynched and replaced by fucking white or at the very least Asians.

Fine. I gave it to my family though. My mother got it bad. But most of us are over it now. Everyone gets it different. I lost my taste/smell, body chills, weakness, and headache. Thank god no breathing problems. My mother got it far worse. She was vomiting for a week straight. I was about to call a nurse friend to set her up with an IV because she couldn't eat or drink. I managed to get her to hold down some soft bread and crackers.

By the way the nurses here hate that dancing shit. Every nurse in our hospitals (I took overtime in every borough so far) are all up to their eyeballs in patients and incredibly understaffed. In fact they rather be understaffed than half the people from other states coming here with little to no experience messing shit up for them. One of my favorite nurses BERATED this "hero" Minnesota nurse because she started crying when she was assaulted by a patient. That shit happens everyday here. The Minnesota nurse packed her bags and immediately left, it was only a light punch. Me and my favorite nurse had a ciggy at the ambulance bay. Shes 65 black and has literally seen everything. She was taking pleasure in the nurses running back to their compound because the work load was too much.

Granted this woman is a little insane but I'll never forget when I had a knife pulled on me when I had a guy strapped on the stretcher and she ran over with a bed pan and whacked it out of his hand. She then looked at me and said "Don't be stupid baby, hes intox, stand behind the stretcher or in front, never on the side of them". Badass.

We had multiple ambulances leave because they came from middle America and never dealt with our projects. Multiple assaults, guns pulled, names called, they've never seen it. I talked to a guy from Kentucky. I laughed so hard when he asked me how do I deal with such animals. I shrugged and pointed at my ciggys and a phone with my dog on it.

Would you guys like to hear about the hospitals?

hypothetically, if someone were to say execute as many homeless people as he could find in the street with the main motivation being to make them litterally fear the city and move away to the woods or get thier shit together, would that person be based?
