modern art is for money laundering drug weapon and person traffic
fucking idiot
>Hurr durr i dont undastwand da deeper meaning dayfore it dum!
Is that Krapsu?
i will not be baited into ranting about picasso again
There never is a deep meaning. It’s mostly puerile/nihilistic garbage
Truly based
>it's art because I called it art
maybe if you view art like a pleb.
>Roll le jew name
>Dancing cat gif
>it's art because I called it art
"Meaning" in art is inherently subjective in nature. Just because some art hoe on a $1000 cocktail of drugs tells you a piece of art represents something doesn't mean that it does in any objective sense whatsoever.
What the fuck did OP say that made you think he’s an idiot? He said post funny modern art. He didn’t say shit about how it came to be.
God damn you’re a moron. End it all now. Please.
anything can be art.
What a retarded uni student opinion
Hurr everything can be art maaaaaan
Art is subject yeah like wow.. open your eyes
This dog turd right here.. I mean the dog shit it out right here.. it's clearly art.. how can you be so closed minded
Art is a window into the soul of a society. Look at the artistic productions of all the greatest civilizations across the world at their pieaks and then look at what we have now...things are not good.
you are discussing the "dog shit" artwork. mission accomplished. also nice reddit spacing
Idiots don't know what "modern art" is.
Gauguin, Picasso, van Gogh, Seurat - these are all classified as modern art.
The term you are probably looking for is "postmodernism," which even then is a pretty broad category.
Dude there is an absolute shit ton of incredible artists living today in the US
what if I put pepe on a canvas?
WHy don't you appreciate the circlejerk?
From the European prospective art was never meant to have a meaning. It was meant to demonstrate the pinnacle of talent and craftsmanship. Post modernism corrupted this with the idea that anything is art if someone says it is

>derivative, "shocking" degenerate art made by a team of billionaire producers, crafted and tweaked by marketing executives and coaches and meticulously crafted to be a profitable product that also continues the corroding of moral values for the sake of profit

I will never not hate the modern musical/artistic culture. It's all about marketing and commercial viability + political correctness over talent, vision, and creativity. In fact they probably hate people with creativity and vision, because it typically leads to one looking outside the mainstream for inspiration.
> look at me!
To all the deconstructive faggots declaring that anything can be art:
It will come a day where the meaning of art will be imposed to you again. Faggots.

If anything can be art, then art doesn't really is a thing.
That's just pop music for you. There's still a huge amount of great music being made, what's it matter to you if others are listening to garbage?
Delet this
>Dat ID
*Glup Glup Glup Glup*
friendly reminder that the modern art movement was funded by the CIA because they were concerned about russian propaganda seeping into the art community to influence westerners.

Of course there is, I meant more of what is held in the highest regards by society.
confirmed basedness.
I'M SCHLOOOOORPIIIING!!!1
Some mad lad managed to get an "Epstein didn't kill himself" on the wall of an art gallery during a showing. Pic related is them covering it up.
wrong
The people vandalizing galleries are the real artists.
Define art, if you're so great. What are the rules of what is and isn't art?
No.
goddamnit
>everything i decide is art is art
An unmade bed with garbage strewn around it isn't art.
Are you fucking retarded? Art is anything that can be regarded as art, which is literally anything. Actually how stupid are you? Blow your smooth brains out.
Enlighten us all then, and explain the meaning of OPs image.
Why and how is it not art, smoothbrain?
>marxist useful idiot thinks anything can be art
Why do you expect me to argue with you?
Art doesn't necessarily have an objective meaning. Why are you retarded?
I do not agree. I've been looking outside the mainstream for an entire decade, hell, the link I JUST posted has 1000 views and it's six years old, and that's nowhere near the most obscure shit I've heard. The most obscure stuff I've listened to have been the hundreds of amateurs I've looked through to find good music.
Problem is nothing isn't "mainstream" now. Everything is complicit with something that's been incorporated into the mainstream framework. Even among amateurs, 99.9% of them are just trying to get some label/promoters attention and have zero interest in composing or pushing boundaries.
Over the last five years intentionally looking for amateur musicians I've seen two who were actually pretty talented and original. Neither of these people ever bothered to promote their work and have since disappeared. Meanwhile, many of the people making "dubstep" back then have simply moved on to the next trend without stopping.
The art world just seems too bloated to reward merit at this point. Because access to music and art making tools is so much wider, the amount of art has increased by a massive margin. And much of this stuff can even be created by non-artists, people who are uncreative, by using sample packs, templates, tweening and other standardized techniques or computer algorithms (look at 3d animation nowadays, so much of the it is literally generated by computers with little input from the artist)
It simply takes too long to find people who are passionate now, and people are completely satisfied with the computer-generated works of nowadays so there's no demand.
