The former vice president and presumptive Democratic nominee tops the GOP incumbent 44-38 percent in a new USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll, with 8 percent backing a third-party candidate and 9 percent undecided. Without a third-party candidate, the national survey shows Biden topping Trump 50-40 percent.

They're setting the stage for an even bigger meltdown than 2016. He's the incumbent, and yet somehow they're going to be shocked when he wins.
Does anyone really believe that the same people that voted for him in 2016, despite all of his controversies - "Lock Her Up", "Somebody's Doing the Raping," Access Hollywood tape, etc. - are going to turn on him in favor of a candidate that's blatantly more of a puppet than Hillary was, and after all the stunts the Democrats have pulled the last four years?
He's going to lose very, very little of his base and he's poised to gain plenty of Never-Trumpers and begrudging Hillary voters who saw him as an unknown. I'm not dumb enough to think it's going to be a blowout, but I'd expect the map to look very similar to 2016 and maybe with a few extra states.
