Lol. We'll catch up because lockdowns don't save lives unless they prevent health care systems from getting overwhelmed and hospitals haven't been overwhelmed literally anywhere except for Italy. If you had a better memory than a retarded goldfish you would remember that the point of the lock downs was to 'flatten the curve' but eventually everyone was supposed to be infected.
You see, with equalish healthcare, the mortality rate of the virus evens out to a roughly similar base-line average everywhere (adjusted for demographics). So, while we might be behind the US on the curve because we shut down before out own peak eventually we will catch up to them and perhaps surpass them because there are certain unintended consequences that comes from lengthening the duration of a pandemic. Which is what happens when you flatten the curve, you also widen it and cause a second wave.

I wonder if the curve will end up looking just like the one in 1918, with the much bigger spike just on the horizon.
