Have you felt it? There's been a sudden shift in people's outlook towards covid. Today in particular. I go out and no one's following grocery store arrows, the park is full of people, traffic is horrible, and it's like no one gives a shit. This board's /nbg/ threads are rolling hot, doctors on YouTube are saying it's all bullshit, Dr. Shiva is going mainstream, and it's like suddenly the whole thing is reversing course. Not only is it "just a flu bro," the flu kills babies and small children, this is more like a very rapidly spreading cold.
But what I'm wondering is: what caused this sudden shift in collective consciousness? Was there some subliminal messaging? An overmind? Or is it just our collective network of memes and messages doing what they do?
Why has the nothingburger meme arrived so suddenly and powerfully?
People just found out that not many people were actually dying

do you know anyone personally who has the disease?

Hard bump. I noticed this too. It's like everyone, myself included, just suddenly woke up from a nightmare. Very bizarre, glad I'm not the only one.

Hard evidence has shown that it's not very deadly at all. People are getting stir crazy and running out of money. We're ending the shelter at home order Friday and I don't know a single person that isn't relieved.

Hysteria never lasts. The consequences of the hysteria often do.

This has been a test of memetic warfare. You may now wake up
Big agree. If they reopen everything and nothing happens, then it's a tacit admission we destroyed the economy for nothing. If cases spike again then we shouldn't have reopened everything, it's lose lose. Expect nothing to happen, but then they lie about why, like omg our social distancing really werked, but now we have to social distance until everyone is mandatory vaxxed sorry guys
