You can buy a 4-5TB external HDD for ~100USD on Amazon or Newegg.
Give DESCRIPTIVE file names: longer = better (within reason). Include all info about the media you can.
Preface your filenames with words to group them alphabetically; eventually: MAKE A FOLDER.
Make folders as necessary to describe the files within; folder structures can EMBED METADATA within themselves. For instance:
>MyStuff/Memes/Yas Forums/Important/Pepe/Rare/diamond_pepe.jpg
is MUCH more descriptive than:
>MyStuff/diamond_pepe.jpg
