You got most of this right except for the (most important) part where it says Jews were hardened by God so that God could make the New Covenant through faith alone. Some Jews were rendered incapable of understanding Jesus’s message, as was Judas, and Pharoah. Jesus mentions this toward the end of John and Paul expands on this in Romans.

To convert to Christianity means accepting that now you have a new family and new people.

Clearly you haven’t even read what Paul wrote. His point was that it doesn’t matter whether or not you are a Jew or Gentile because Jesus is for all not just the Jews. You need to actually read Romans and come back.

Modern christianity is a template for improving yourself, and thereby enabling yourself to be a model for others to do the same. If you chose to follow the tenets, become an upstanding person who leads a virtuous life, what have you lost?

People who say, "that doesn't sound like fun," might be right, or they might be hedonists because they are lazy and afraid of failing if they were actually tasked with commiting themselves to working hard to become a better person so they deride the goal so they don't have to worry about attempting it.

Ultimately, you don't need Christianity to live a good, moral, fulfilling life. However, if you are living such a life, you are going to basically be living a christian life, so why not enjoy being part of an active and supportive community that shares those beliefs as well?

In the end, nobody is going to make you change, because they can't. You have to willing want to change, and that is something you are going to have to figure out for yourself.

It's a common critic on pol that Christian compassion is what led to importing so many third world types. But that isn't true. Christians were misled into thinking this was good, but I don't believe it's particularly biblical. True Christian compassion starts in the home and radiates out from their. True Christian compassion flows from family>friends> neighbors>countrymen> everyone else.

I don't believe sacrificing a nation to third whole refugees who will devour it is Christian at all.

I don’t like how >worship is used her. Jesus wanted us to repent, follow the commandments and read the word. Worshiping is a way to start your inner fire that does not get fed for say, you put in some Kim walker, and sing along, it gives the Holy Spirit a legal right to come into your home. And what can he do there? Well he can speak to you or another person in the place. A lot of times the Holy Spirit May urge you to pray for a specific person or give a word to someone about something God is putting on your heart. You don’t have to worship all the tine but it does make you feel good.

I always thought of it as compassion only applies to fellow Christians, and this in-group solidarity is supposed to be the main selling point of converting. After all, why would anyone ever WANT to become Christian if it means unconditionally helping those who hate you?

The main selling point is to not die in your sins. Because at the end of the world God will judge sinners and there will be dire consequences.

And the reason for loving your enemies is because love moves hearts. The purpose of that being so they don't die in their sins as well.

Yes yes, we have established that people worship Christianity for selfish reasons and fear. They want bliss in heaven and they don't want horrors by the hands of Lucifer. But this thread was not about selfish reasons for worshiping the jewish god.
