My parents didn’t really want to kids or to be married or to do any of that stuff, and it’s not a good experience to grow up in that environment where your parents are constantly bitter and resenting each other, and none of them actually wanted to have kids.

We've lost our way. Women are not for sex, or best friends, or soul mates, or travel partners. There is literally only one reason you'd bother with the downsides of a relationship or marriage, and that's to have access to reproduction, children of your own and a good mother for your children.

It's not a one-way street though. A relationship works only when both parties try to better themselves during the course of it. The woman too has to make some adjustments and grow - as does her partner - to make the relationship work.
