The jets launch the missiles from the Lebanese airspace. The are unwilling to raise planes to dogfight jets in Lebanon.

Lack of radar cover over Kikebanon is most likely the problem. There would be at most an extremely small time window to shoot them down, and the air strikes don't do much anyway.

What? Israeli jets enter Lebanese airspace and hide behind the mountains, or sometimes even commercial planes, to shoot missiles at Syria. That's how they've done it since Assad got air defenses. Lebanon isn't doing anything for their own strategic reasons.

They don't need to shoot down israelis aircraft, a dozen of missiles on Israel would be enough. Hezbollah can do that and that's the reason why Israel doesn't attack them.
