When the swine flu came out in 2009 in the US, no one pinned it on Americans. And Americans were not harassed/assaulted for it. No memes came out about the pig virus.
When HIV started in the Congo (reportedly, patient zero acquired it from eating monkeys) no one pinned it on black people worldwide. And black people were not singled out/assaulted for it.
So why this strong reaction against asians, when there wasn't one for other groups of people? It's because for the most part the racists also uphold that we are "model minorities." Sure, they didn't like us because we were "smarter" and we looked different, but up until now it just came down to jealousy and xenophobia. There was no excuse to wholesale go buckwild on us. So when covid came along, they found their rallying cry. It's like their racism was bottled up and waiting.

The thing that makes people hate China isn't because a disease broke out there, it's because they are evil hedonists that drag animals from thousands of miles away to torture and consume, ones that aren't even good for eating, and then they get twisted diseases that the CCP covers up and lies about until it can't be contained, and then allows for it to spread outside the borders while taking draconian measures to stop it within the borders, and then it's revealed they infiltrated organizations like the WHO and feed propaganda to media, resulting in a disinfo campaign trying to maximize damages outside their borders, on top of accepting PPE in massive donations while trying to act heroic in containing it, only to turn around and sell it back to people who foolishly thought any good will to the CCP wouldn't result in being kiked in the end.
Nigs are gonna nig and punch random Asians, but the reason people are pissed with China is because this entire pandemic didn't have to happen if the Chinese culture didn't thrive on the flavor of misery, and then it could have been greatly reduced if the Chinese government wasn't more interested in information warfare and playing politics with the pandemic, which didn't have to be a pandemic, than it would be if it just honestly tackled the disease.
