How come Genghis Khan tamed afghanistan, when the US military can't?
Is the US military literally worse at fighting than mongol horse archers? The Khan didn't even use twenty years in that shithole to conquer it and put an end to the rebellion. US military BTFO.

It wasn't afghan fighters causing most of the issues. It was ducking Palistan and Iran, combined with a network of manassas used to recruit foreign fighters. It was a religious war.
Genghis simply murdered everyone. If the USA used the same genocidal tactics they too would "win". No man, no problem.
That's not the reason the US abstain from using mongol tactics. The mongols left many afghans alive when putting down their rebellion. The issue is that the mongols are just too good for the US to mimic.

Because medieval and mongol warfare is very different and the blowback of attempting the same would be worse than any damage the taliban could cause. See how Vietnam was lost at My Lai.
