It wasn't afghan fighters causing most of the issues. It was ducking Palistan and Iran, combined with a network of manassas used to recruit foreign fighters. It was a religious war.

Do you really think that winning was what the US wanted to do at all? If anything, the Afghan Army is to blame. Aprox 90% of Afghanistan was in control of the government by the end of 2014 and when we gave it to the child fucking army, they managed to loose all of the gains we made for them. Helmand fell in less than a year. Without us, the Afghan Army would have been gone long ago.
