I absolutely applaud and encourage your idea and efforts. If you pulled it off you could probably get a good position at a University somewhere. However I don't think Cherokee should be entirely dismissed because of its English influences. The English alphabet is effective and simple. That being said, I would be thrilled to see a new script developed. The world and culture has gotten too stagnant.

Just needs tweaking to get the vowel quality correct. Us Algonquians do also tend to lump consonants together. Iroquoian seems to flow better.
