I'll field this. I'm super-smart (139 IQ) and I believe in God.
Reasons:
1. There is no rational explanation for the existence of the universe. Once you go back, back, back - to the moment of the Big Bang - science stops working and the supernatural becomes the only rational answer.
2. Biblical prophecy is coming true in the current era. The reformation of Israel as a sovereign nation was foretold in the Bible and has come to pass against all odds.
3. The Bible gives us conventional morality, which tends to agree with what we deem to be "right" or "wrong" in our own conscience.
4. The Mosaic Law handed down to the Hebrews in the first books of the Old Testament, particularly those regarding handling of the dead and preparation of food, are obviously intended to protect "God's Chosen People" from microscopic organisms, about 3,000 years before microscopic organisms were even known to exist.
All in all, the Bible is incontrovertible. One may take issue with this or that, but when one examines the big picture, the apparent truth of the holy scriptures becomes obvious.
