How come nobody is talking about how we could use true AI robots on seed ships to venture out in the galaxy?
Send thousands of them in all directions to potentially habitable planets (or those which can be terraformed quickly). First order of business for these seed ships is to establish a base to manufacture components for more robots. Only once that capability is there on a secure basis, would the seed ship use its biosequencing from stored DNA information of millions of plants and animals on Earth to truly seed the new planet.
Once it is Earth-like after thousands of years, stored human DNA could be used to create the first humans.
From those new habitable planets, new seed ships could be sent to other planets, eventually colonizing the whole galaxy with Earth life.
Because humans are short-sighted, selfish monkeys that can't delay our gratification for a fucking decade, much less the tens of thousands of years it would take to seed the galaxy with life. If I can't benefit from it and neither can my children, then it's useless.
Kevin Walker
doesn't matter we are fucked.
Kepler-186f should of had complex life on it, the fact it doesn't just increases the likelihood of the "Great Filter" being the answer to the Fermi Paradox
you-know-who is preventing man-kind from venturing beyond
Benjamin Wilson
>Kepler-186f should of had complex life on it, the fact it doesn't Dude, we don’t know anything about life or no life on that planet.
Henry Wood
There is no "great filter", just a hard limit on speed and cosmic scales that defy human comprehension.
Alexander Moore
Cool enough idea, but why would anyone commit the necessary resources to see it through?
Oliver Flores
>How come nobody is talking about how we could use true AI robots on seed ships to venture out in the galaxy? Because this is not faggot
Leo Reed
Because nobody gives a fuck about your meme ideals when your every day life is a nightmare you have to struggle in order to get food.
Cameron Roberts
The possibility of indefinitely perpetuating our species via space exploration seems pretty political to me. Why are we bailing out companies like Disney and Hilton instead of investing in the future?
Evan Smith
When I was little I wished for the day robots would have tits
seriously. thats the most retarded thing ever. the human body isnt beautiful, its a retarded design. so is pubic hair. so is baldness.
Lincoln Martinez
Space is fake and gay. You cant get past the Van Allen belts.
Hudson Hall
How about first creating true AI. We are decades away from even having an Idea how to do that. The neural networks we using today are not even close to have the concept of real consciousness.
Kevin Cruz
>How come nobody is talking about how we could use true AI robots on seed ships to venture out in the galaxy?
How do you think life got started on this planet, IDIOT! Lame old thoughts for lame old posters.
You are so retarded I hope you never leave this quarantine zone. Also you are so far from achieving this it isn't even worth thinking too much about the possibility except for entertainment.
Logan Anderson
why should we fuck up other worlds with our flawed DNA?
Michael Hall
An AI seed ship just flew over my house.
Alexander Flores
Hi jews!
Possibilites included guided evolution (no AI is necessary for this), hybridization and transgenics (no idea with what), maybe space niggers immigrating here... Other theory was humanity being recreated from some leftover genetic material and the researchers regretting it later.
Jack Collins
how to permanently fuck up the entire universe
Angel Russell
it's people like you that have kids and regret it later in life.
Dylan Cruz
>why should we fuck up other worlds with our flawed DNA? Why not?
Pubic hair and baldness both serve evolutionary purposes. It's not nature's fault that Jewish-led media has made them seem superfluous and unattractive.
Colton Mitchell
As you can see they are all black...
Eli Hill
>colonize and terraform planets Then how do we get to them genius? How you gonna fight the affect of 1 single year of null gravity on your meat body? The only true way is transhumanism
Julian Gonzalez
Read songs of distant earth if you haven't already. The tricky thing is I wouldn't trust a true AI since inevitably some would mutate and just skip the human part because why not. The experiments to perfect raising humans without real parents would be ghastly but necessary to confirm the idea works, there would a real chance they'd go feral. Sadly elites don't give a shit about long term plans and this is something for late 22nd century at best, got to build up infrastructure in Sol before the huge expense of such a project can kick off. It would be the prestige project of the first solar empire to come, don't expect any present power to do it. Personally I hope that empire's capital is Titan, they will setup the future of humanity in their culture, one where man's birthright is to be given wings like Icarus for flight, low g high density atmosphere like Titan. Keep in mind that in a built up solar system the vast majority wouldn't live on planets but in artificial habs, total pop in the quadrillions for a system. In less than a million years the entire galaxy will be seeded with nearby galaxies underway too.
