Jordan Peterson is very smart, but like anyone has things he is really good at and things he is not that great at. His real fatal error seems to be his willingness to opine on things he has no expertise in, which has always been a huge character flaw in public intellectuals, like Chomsky, who few today remember for his contributions to linguistics rather than his political screeds, in which he continues to put his foot in his mouth one decade after the next. Jordan Peterson famously and to his credit acknowledged at one point that the JQ is actually a real question although he said, “I can’t... I can’t do it.” Perhaps for a brief second he thought about kicking off his Jewish masters but couldn’t do it. Later he did damage control by saying there was no JQ and that Jews were successful because they were just really good at things.
One of Peterson’s strongest abilities was his ability to presuppose what the other person was thinking and to take down their arguments in a way that would typically leave his opponents grasping for words. He was an excellent debater because of this ability to read his opponent. He was a great psychologist, but his lasting legacy will be that he basically repeated a line spoken by a 5 year old in Kindergarten Cop: “Boys have a penis, girl’s have a vagina”
