One of the risks of renting. This is why i make a honorable living instead of feeding on the wealth of people who can't honestly afford their own housing. Should have been the first clue also background checks. You get what you sowed.. you have no idea what their going through. when i rented i worked two jobs and was fresh out of the home. I roomed with someone and i still needed two jobs. One just to cover the rent and one just to cover the food and other bills. your disconnected from reality. Now days for a millennial to own a home which you own several of obviously and hold no idea your inflating market prices by doing do. Typical boomer move and why the younger generations hate you just like younger generations then us will hate me when i am your age. Anyhow when i was renting my rent for a one bedroom hole in the wall in a suburb in 2007 was 500 originally by 2008 it went up to 650. not to mention they swapped from oil heat to electric so i ended up with a higher bill on my end. When i finally left and i was screwed at the time by my roommate who stole my reserve stash and my side of the rent money. Keep in mind they also owned property in town.. 37 properties between two men. with over 121 renters. I had flooring from the fifties, a leak i repeatedly showed the landlord that he left and twice they cut the wrong water for other tenants who didn't pay and we got cut instead which i got charged for both times they came out to fix it. Landlords are scum.. they came after me for two months of rent when only one was owed. he literally didn't even give me a chance to try and pay him off with my next check three days later he just evicted us because he couldn't find a better reason wanted to roll us out so he could raise the rent to new tenants for 800. 1/2
hich he couldn't with us still there and a active lease for three more months and active laws in affect at the time. He tried to claim we owed him 1600 when we owned him 1,300 i paid him back my half and extra for the damages the roommate left. he tried to sue me for the rest and the judge laughed him out of court when i showed the original lease. later to find out from said judge over video phone that i was the only one who had ever sent a copy of the lease and thus the only one with evidence he had tried. I got lucky most others didn't and predatory practices by Landlords is absolutely normal now days. So no i feel no remorse for you. You bought the building and you will suffer for it's needs. You should have never over extended yourself. now be a good boomer catch the hoax boomer remover and begone!
