As far as heretics go, I sympathise a lot with SDA. But they lose me when they start with the anti-Catholic rambling, even some protestants have moved away from that rhetoric when they are called out on their unhistorical revisionist bias. But the SDA church makes that nonsense into a foundational belief, it's kind of amazing.
Tyler Robinson
does white supremacy go well with Ellen's views. wouldn't that be more of a Josseph Smith thing?

Seventh-Day Adventists are based as fuck

sounds pretty based to me man.

Actually, the official leadership within has diluted their stance against the papacy. personally i think it's a cop out, but i guess it's what's to be expected in such situations. they chose compromise over war.

Brother, I love the SDA, I know of their works and their sincere belief. They are some of the best Christians that exist even if their theology is kind of misguided. But what they preach about the Catholic Church is simply nonsense, it's completely unhistorical and doesn't even make any sense. At the very least, ditch the polemics. It's absolutely fine that you think that the Church should have never changed the Sabbath to Sunday, I mean, it's a rather autistic contention in my opinion, but I get it, but from that to extrapolate that it's the seat of the Antichrist is pure nonsense.
Julian Myers
Fuck sda's. Your colleges are bullshit. Scamming stupid kids out of 50-60k for a bullshit degree they won't be able to get a job with because they spent half their time in college taking Bible classes. See you in hell motherfuckers.
I can just buy an indulgence at age 90 and I am squeaky clean. Does Jesus take American Express?

it's best if you think of it in context of how powerful the Catholic Church was a few hundred years ago. take how Yas Forums views Jews today and multiply it at least ten times. even today the papacy is extremely powerful and wealthy, being the largest land holder in the world with extremely high priced properties around the globe. also there is the still high influence they hold behind the curtain. about the Sabbath, Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
Among the ten commandments, there is one unique commandment, the fourth, that acts sort of as God's seal on his people. it would make sense that a high form of blasphemy would be something the devil would enact, One of his main methods is to mimic something God does but in a defiled way. for example the Black mass, it would make sense that creating a false form of "Christianity" and defiling it would be his method of operation.

Remove false prophet and hyprocrite Ellen G. White and you'd be a good church. However
And a church that was built on the lie called the "Great Disappointment"? God makes no mistakes and Jesus Christ isn't a Seventh Day-Adventist. That means Christians just by following and accepting Jesus Christ are saved. These SDAs believe that Sunday church worshipers among other sections are going to hell although they worship Jesus and read the same KJV.
Jeremiah Smith
>it's best if you think of it in context of how powerful the Catholic Church was a few hundred years ago. Is. It's the largest congregation of practising Christians by a very wide margin. >take how Yas Forums views Jews today and multiply it at least ten times. The Catholic Church historically was always a force for good, even through Her many missteps. You have to apply some very hardcore mental gymnastics to get around this fact. >even today the papacy is extremely powerful and wealthy, being the largest land holder in the world with extremely high priced properties around the globe. Do you think it's licit for the Church to liquidate all that property? It was given to Her protection, it's not even "Hers", it belongs to all the faithful. The clergy is merely the steward of this vast patrimonial wealth. They objectively do not live in luxury, they don't eat golden crosses or robes or fines pieces of art, these are merely things that are used to worship the Lord and inspire the faithful. What right does the Church have to part with these things? >t would make sense that a high form of blasphemy would be something the devil would enact The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath. Even St. Peter, the very first Pope, had to be given visions and be issued several corrections until he accepted the gentiles.
Look, I understand our different theological presuppositions here, and as I said I do hold the SDA in high regard for several reasons. But outdated anti-Catholic polemics shouldn't be a foundational belief of your faith, brother.

During Christ's 3 year ministry, most of the apostles and His followers thought that the kingdom He was working for was an earthly kingdom, as in, they expected Him to be the new King of the Jews on earth. like a political/ military leader. that's one of the reasons His crucifixion brought so much despair. it didn't make sense at all.. They didn't see the big picture or were not thinking in the right way about His Kingdom. Does that mean that their faith was built on a lie? . no.
Cooper Robinson
hey retard they start the week with worship sunday because they chill out on saturday unless they have a job that makes them work weekends if not they would over think sabbath and or drive ...since they go sunday they drive on a proper day
imagine getting tricked into working weekends everyone having weekends off means it doesnt matter the ' status or the job , everyone has weekends off. kind of like right now super chill
also sabbath means everyones has weekends off it wasnt some crazy controlling thing you tryin to make it out to be..as soon as you start policing the sabbath you are working
on the sabbath you get to relax and enjoy the fruits of the Father's labor which also means you get to relax about telling others what to do
on the sabbath you dont tell others what to do and they dont tell you what to do
Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 14but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God, on which you must not do any work— neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your ox or donkey or any of your livestock, nor the foreigner within your gates, so that your manservant and maidservant may rest as you do. 15Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. That is why the LORD your God has commanded you to keep the Sabbath day

That's completely irrelevant to the point. Jesus Christ did not come to make mistakes on Earth, he fulfilled prophecy. Now SDAs believe to predict the second coming of Christ and failed. Then allowing Ellen G. White, a woman, to be a prophet, adding "a pillar of supplement word" to the scriptures of the bible, and damning everyone who has faith in Jesus just because they don't follow the sabbath.
And even then, there's many other sins broken by humans just by thinking negative thoughts alone. But somehow following the sabbath (which has been fulfilled by Christ and the same reason why we don't sacrifice lambs anymore) makes them "perfect" for heaven instead of FAITH alone. >inb4 faith without works is dead The sabbath is a day of rest. Not work. > but the sabba- Look at the thief on the cross as an example of faith in God. He was saved without attending church, baptism, paying tithes, or following the sabbath. He trusted and believed in Jesus Christ alone. Now the same condition applies to the rest of humanity.
> It's the largest congregation of practising Christians by a very wide margin The official Jews under the Sanhedrin/Pharisees/Sadducees were the largest congregation of "the chosen" during Christ's reign,, doesn't mean they were infallible or in the right. >The Catholic Church historically was always a force for good, -Integrating pagan beliefs into their core faith(Easter,Christmas, etcetra) -neo idol worship (Mary, saints) -Killing Christians who did not bend the knee to the Vatican(The inquisition, Ireland, etcetra)
and that's just the obvious issues on a core level. i could go on about the rampant pedophillia and homosexuality that you encourage when you manipulate men into forced unhealthy situations without a healthy outlet for sexual expression, or the hundreds of thousands of abortions and murdered children by nuns, or the many manipulations by Rome throughout the centuries of political assassinations.
Dominic Nelson
i should also add that there is a chance the whole corona debacle is not an end times event but more a Noah's flood type event or a Tower of Babel type thing where it's sort of a reset button since humanity was deviating too much. TPTB are loosing too much from this and a lot of the work they may have done for a long time is being rolled back. then again, it could be 5D chess or they could simply not be willing to let a good crisis go to waste i'm just showing you how you claiming that SDAs were wrong because they misunderstood something about the second coming is like saying all Christians are wrong since Christ's early followers thought He would be an earthly king,,
Christopher Flores
>The official Jews under the Sanhedrin/Pharisees/Sadducees were the largest congregation of "the chosen" during Christ's reign Absolutely true. Or was the Temple not from God, brother? Did Our Lord Christ not teach His disciples to respect the elders when they taught from the Seat of Moses? >-Integrating pagan beliefs into their core faith(Easter,Christmas, etcetra) >-neo idol worship (Mary, saints) >-Killing Christians who did not bend the knee to the Vatican(The inquisition, Ireland, etcetra) The date 25th of December is acknowledged in early Church sources, and even if it's completely wrong then we just merely use the date as a symbolic celebration of the birth of Our Saviour. The allegations of "pagan syncretism" don't make sense given that the celebration of Sol Invictus postdates Christianity by two entire centuries and was a futile attempt to syncretise the Christians. Similar arguments can be made regarding Easter, it's silly to claim that Christians can't celebrate the Passion and the Resurrection, and sillier still to make "Ishtar" connections that don't make any sense. As for the inquisitions, most of them were extremely benign, especially in comparison to protestant inquisitions which factually were much bloodier affairs, and if you consider crusades against "fellow Christians" like the Cathars, please do consider that the Albigensian Crusade only happened because these gnostics were euthanising the elderly and performing ritualistic suicide (and murder) to "ascend", among many other heresies. Inquisitions were always meant as correction, it was more catechises than it was about chopping off members or doing any sort of torturing, this is all exceedingly well known, brother. And as for Our Blessed Mother Mary, She, among the Saints, is the Highest and we venerate Her with great love. And Saints are not "demi-gods", they are simply the Christians who are now in Heaven and can very much pray for our intentions.
Julian Clark
> is like saying all Christians are wrong SDAs continue to be wrong in the principals that they teach about how to enter the Kingdom of God and about Ellen G. White being a prophet. Christ's early followers repented their mistakes, SDAs have become no better than the Baptists they desperately berate.
Misunderstanding something isn't the same as continually teaching misconceptions. Especially following a "prophetess" who adds to the already complete and fulfilled bible. She's no better than Muhammad who also adds to the Holy Bible and speaks blasphemy.
>i could go on about the rampant pedophillia There is no statistical indication that Catholics are more prone to sexual abuse than other Christians. And there is no indication that Christians are more prone to sexual abuse than non-Christians, in fact, the opposite is true. >and homosexuality Aye. There are sinners in the Church, brother. >that you encourage when you manipulate men into forced unhealthy situations without a healthy outlet for sexual expression Are you healthy, brother? Was Our Lord healthy? Was the Virgin Mary healthy? A silly polemic. >or the hundreds of thousands of abortions and murdered children by nuns The Catholic Church has always firmly rejected abortion. Do you presume we're not Christian? >or the many manipulations by Rome throughout the centuries of political assassinations. Finally, something I do agree with. Yes, there was always intrigue in Rome, even today. What exactly is your point? Is this a uniquely Catholic phenomenon in your opinion?
Dylan Perez
David Asscherick's presentation/explaination is the best I've ever heard.
Presentations are always phenomenal when you lack the information to call out the bullshit, brother. If Asscherick cares so much about his polemics, he is certainly free to debate Catholic scholars on his position.
