Kim Jong Un was the closest we got to reunification in our lifetimes. As hot as his sister is, I fully believe that there will be a military coup before the year is over. The people of the DPRK will continue to suffer, and it is very likely that China will be forced to move its military in to stabilize the situation - and potentially lead us to World War III.
Kim Jong Un was trying his hardest to liberalize the economy and open things up. He stood up to the hardliners in the military. The executions you heard so much about were him preemptively shutting down coup attempts from the inside.
If that Jew Nigger Bolton had not fucked things up, the USA and DPRK would have diplomatic relations today. Alas, the dream has passed on, and only war awaits us.

China doesn't want the rest of the world to ignore it. It wants maximum power, and wants to turn the rest of East Asia and all of Southeast Asia into its colonies - much like Japan's Co-Prosperity Sphere.
The biggest worry for China is that there is reunification and a pro-US regime emerges. If that happens, look for places like the Yanbian Autonomous Prefecture in Jilin Province to try to join up with a reunified Korea and do major damage to Chinese sovereignty. It is already true that the Yanbian police include several embedded DPRK intelligence officers and have basically sold out to the Norks.
Blood runs thicker than water, my friend. The Chinese hand will be forced, unless Ms. Kim truly is a dominatrix. If she figures out how to use her skirt power, the world might be safe.
