I live in Maine, should be similar, though NH has a lot more to do for young people. Lots of hiking and outdoors shit.

Politically people are very libertarian. Definitely a purple state. Fiscally conservative, but socially liberal.

There's no public transportation really, at least not even close to being on the level of California. You'll probably have a 30 mile commute if you live out side one of the cities.

The state motto is live free or die but they don't believe in it. No sales tax is pretty nice though.
