Beyond EUV wavelength technology has started, yes, but chip makers will squeeze every last bit of the technology they have already dumped billions into. They spent years doing everything possible to keep using 193nm, dumping billions in R&D just to keep progressing at that technology (water immersion, etc)

Good fucking luck. The issue we can't get past 6nm chips is that the electrons quantum tunnel into the wrong path. The pathways are so damn small that quantum tunneling causes failures. Its not a problem you can easily solve by "just making it smaller". It may be a physical limit.
